My WILD guess would be the hands point at the normal places on a 12 hour dial for time...

If this is too much for people, presumably they can't cope with batons either?

I see that the second hand sits between two marks...and what's the red hand for?

The second hand is on the 12 o'clock position, where you'd expect it to be and the red 'hand' might just be printed on the dial - This is a Swatch, after all!

Wow. I don't mind quirky, even own a jump hour which I know some people look puzzled at, but that Swatch would even have me beat!

Been studying that pic and unless it's as you suggest and you have to ignore the background(not easy with so much going on), I really can't figure it out.

Yep, definately prefer the Eddie approach(still wish it was a single hander though).

I love this new watch design, but im afraid the caseback is off-putting for me.

I have joined in far too late I know but would have liked to see some things slightly different, such as being a one-hander and the date window looking more like a mileage counter, this would have looked epic to me, but perhaps not to the masses...

Still looking forward to this being released. Smart and simple design is right up my street. With the added bonus of linking to my petrol headed taste.

Only catching up with this too but the designs are great, really like them. My favourite was two, the black casing I think was a subtle enough reference to the design source yet interesting, I'd enjoy explaining it. Plus I'm a biker anyway so feels good.

Hi i'm Steven just joined the forum this morning.....

I love the idea behind this watch......what about a John Surtees inspired theme, keep both bikers and car racers happy.....as he is the only man to have won both the world superbike and F1 world Championship....AND..he's British, :-)

Voted No1. Don't like PVD, and the 120 thing just seems too much of a gimmick.

If anything like this happens then that's the old mans birthday present sorted since he rides a Vincent.

My favourite so far is option 2 but with the day/date window at the 6 o clock position and numerals as 0 - 60 showing the increments of 10.

This looks awesome, the version in the photo above is perfect, love the contrast of pvd and chrome, nice clean design and a splash of colour. I'm putting another purchase on hold in anticipation of this, any rough idea of dates?

Another question, is case size confirmed yet Eddie? I need to start preparing myself, as long as 40mm or below I'd better get one of my watches up for sale in anticipation, when this releases I won't want to wait.

As an aside, have you ever considered having Sheffield . England on the bottom of the Smiths dials as opposed to Great Britain? Less of an issue with this particular watch as it's not a recreation of a Smiths classic watch, but generally Great Britain Smiths were obviously known as the cheaper inferior Smiths compared with those Made in England. I just thought as you've recently started putting Sheffield on the dials perhaps Sheffield England would work better(IMO of course0.

    Just my 2p's worth ;)

All that I'd hoped for. Very nice, Eddie...any more pics? I'd like to see the case back, for example. Then, when is it likely to be on the site, please? I need to make sure I don't spend the necessary funds elsewhere.

I've only got the one at the moment, the others haven't been assembled yet. The picture above was an experiment with HDR, here's a "normal" picture.

Love both, but have a slight preference for the dulled out numbers.

    How much will these be?

Who takes any notice of polls anyway look at the general election it was obvious 60mph wasn't fast enough for Eddie!
It was so long ago can't even remember which way I voted, the dial looks very nice and makes sense as a watch the case back is very nice just need to save up or sell something.

Another nice watch from Timefactors. Perhaps I am nit picking but could the engraving on the back have been in line with the strap or at a right angle to line up with the crown? Of course there might be a good reason for the position.

Some will and some won't, you would need to do the engraving with the back attached to the watch to ensure it would line up. As the motorbike is acid etched, this isn't possible.

That would look good. The quilted strap suits this watch with its black dial more than it did the Smiths PRS-35 & PRS-36 (IMO). But my choice would be a TF Rally Strap.

It would be nice if the PVD could have the crinkly finish that some instrument binnacles used to have.

Would be interested in first version without date.
