I love the Seiko SARB's so it would be the one watch for me
Having just sent 3 watches off for service/repair, I'm down to my last watch for at least a couple of months, which just won't do. The good lady has permitted a £250 budget, but I'm struggling with what to buy.
I'm contemplating getting two, a Seiko SKX007 plus an Orient Bambino can both be had new for a total of £243 (the SKX007 being the made in Japan variant on a NATO), or for £30 less I can get the K model on rubber, which would leave some cash for a couple of Eddie's NATO's.
The single watch alternative I'm considering is the Seiko 6R15 which is a little over budget at £268
I'm really after looking after a few more options, either for one or two pieces. I don't mind quartz, (but not a digital display), and preferably not a bracelet as I prefer leather/rubber/Nato. Date display is essential, although if going down the 2 watch route it would only need to apply to one of them, and size wise max 42mm with 22mm lug. Don't mind smaller, down to 38mm or even 36mm. Oh, and would prefer new rather than used, and for something that's in stock now.
So my short list is these two:
or this 1
All suggestions welcome.
Thanks, Steve.

I really like that Orient. Having said that , if I was in the same situation I would be placing a WTB for a SB3
How about this? I have the pepsi version and its great value.

007 and orange monster for me. I would get the 007 on rubber and buy my own Nato, cant understand why Creation are charging about £30 extra for a Nato.
That SARB is beautiful. You could also look for some modded SKX007s from Dagaz or Yobokies. That could be a fun search.
SARB or 007 for me, the orient doesn't really do it for me. Why not get the 007 and then do a WTB for a SARB? surely best of both worlds then? Dress and sports.
Or an SNZH55? I really like the vintage touches.

I can vouch for what a great watch the 007 is. Its quality, practicality and sheer fun-ness belie its price.
Here's mine on on a Time Factors' Bond.
I would always advise to get the single watch, but my own hoarding of cheap watches would suggest I am not very good at following my own advise.
If anyone is still without a SKX007, they really should get one, really. Lots of heritage, build quality, classic good looks.
There are some nice Smiths at TimeFactor site in stock
Increase your budget and buy all three used?
Just a quick update & thanks for all that responded too.

Ordered on Tuesday, delivered this morning all the way from Singapore. Have had a couple of these used before, but after looking at the other options, I decided that £ for £ this is hard to beat, especially at the price Creation Watches charge. I decided on the Japan made model in the end. Will order a couple of NATO's from Eddie when he re-opens as prefer them to the rubber. Just a couple of quick snaps, and thanks to those that offered their opinion. I'm so pleased with the service that I've just ordered an Orient from them too.
Very nice! I've never dealt with Creation Watches, but I'll be having a look soon.
Enjoy.
I`m not fan of Orients because, as far as I`m aware, no-one in the UK can get parts for them.
My advice is to buy a Seiko........robust, reliable , good value, and folks like me can fix 'em.

I must say I was very pleased with the service. DHL tracking so I could see exactly what was happening, and delivery within 4 working days from Signapore is very good, especially when postage was free of charge. They state on the paperwork that the package contained a "measuring instrument", and I guess this helped to avoid any duty etc, but I think this cannot be guaranteed and may not be so lucky next time, so just bear this in mind if you do decide to buy. I paid £132 for the Japan made watch. The K model which I believe is made in Korea is only £117

Had I purchased it from a UK supplier, say Yorkshire Watches they would have asked for £183.90 including delivery, so I guess you pays your money and takes your choice.
