I'm a big fan of G shocks and had to have a 'king'. Not everyones cup of tea at 55mm but feels great on.

    I used to have this 47mm U-boat...

Not to everyones taste but it had a sandwich dial, very well built, lots of fine detail and a modified movement based on the Valjoux 7750.

And if anyone ever used this watch for what it was made; deepsea diving, it would be perfect with the large legible dial, HE valve, screw down crown cap etc.

    I really enjoyed this piece.

That NATO looks a little loose. Be careful the watch doesn't fall off your wrist because if it did you'd be crawling around on the carpet for ages looking for it ....

Whether you like the watch or not, I'm going to quibble with your 'perfect' remark.

That dial might be big, but it's not legible and the dark colours, I suspect, would be hard to read in dark Northern European waters.

Also, there's no bezel, so you can't easily time your dive, which is the point of a dive watch.

On the other hand, as a watch, all that matters is that you like it and vive la difference! Thanks for posting the picture, I've not seen one before.

My biggest watch is my Citizen AT Skyhawk at a weedy 45mm, big enough for me though!

This Aquatimer, which I picked up on SC, is my largest watch. And unfortunately a bit too large for my skinny wrist.

So I'm thinking of putting it on SC again. Or gain some weight.

You don't see many U-Boats on here as they do provoke a 'marmite' type response with most on the 'hate' side.

Me I really like them, interesting design, well put together and solid movements.

    Here's my 53mm version:

No longer have either the Mudman on the right or the GX-56 in the middle, the latter of which is the largest watch I've owned. Still have the GW-3000 on the left, I think it's 48mm across.
