$3400... Yowsers! Serial number carefully blurred out so we can't tell it's history :D

£2200 for a watch with a ETA 2824-2 ???
The DN was released by the host of this forum and arguably kicked off the whole 'boutique diver' genre - therefore it is a) pretty rare on the market, b) crept up in value in a collectors market, c) very highly regarded on this forum!

...i see, i only thought the likes of Tudor could get away with using a stock movement and charging around 2K
Stunning watch though!!
I sincerely hope this isn't Eddie softening us up for a scarey price for the GMT!
The DN was very competitively priced (Was it £450?) when new, this price reflects what the market will stand, not what the manufacturer (Rolex) can fleece you for.

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
It wasn't just a stock 2824-2 though, it was the "Top" version, chronometer certified by Dirk Dornblüth.

Yes that makes sense and at £450 great value :-)
& over 10 years ago, when a Sub could be bought for well under less than half the price they sell for today, and an Seamaster was £1100-£1400 new without discount - it was very good value!
Add the fact there are only 200 of them, compared to the thousands of Swiss divers, then add the prices of things like the Kingston and then we may have some balance.
It's just a matter of time...
If that sells I wonder how long it will take for the Chinese to start selling some fakes!
ah yes...
I prefer yours, maybe that is why it is now showing as 'SOLD!'
