Another tale of My new abode

After a visit From Nurse yesterday, I had my first time our bed today in 2 weeks

Only 90 mins a day for now but a start
Until one of carers fooked it up

I was told by another that said cow had said I had to get back in bed

I said I had nearly 20 mins left. Anyhow she came to see me saying there were others to put to bed or some crap like that. In the end I gave in, driving to my room, putting a hoist into the wall on my way.

There's been a few things pissed me off as you know but that's it.

I'm seeing management tomorrow and laying all my cards on the table.

Their job is to make your life easier. If you're pleasant to them individually then you expect decent treatment in return. It's the management's job to ensure it runs competently. Good luck. ;)

    Thanks for that

I sort of Let het off
Due to my ranting I didn't hear one of the hoists was broken and we were sharing with another unit. It was there turn

I was peeved but will still be having meeting as planned.

    Well that's it

Apparently I've just upset a young carer who has not been here long. I was told I had to get on my bed at 10.30 to rest my pressure sore. A bit after that time I went to see what was going on

Someone on another unit had been taken to hospital. All I asked was why they didn't tell me there was an emergency and I'd have to wait. I just said knowing I would not have drank my lager off so fast and shut tv off

Next thing nurse for night telling me I'm shitty with a lot of carers and have bad attitude

I will ask other staff if they feel the same

In the meantime I think a solicitors opinion is forthcoming.

It's clear from what you say that you're a patient to be treated like furniture rather than being a partner in your own care. Not good enough.
