    The Salty Sea Dog

Here's Rocco, a 3/4 miniature poodle labradoodle. Never had a dog before, and I had no idea just how attached I'd get - life changing stuff. He's had his traumas: got out through a catflap at 8 months old, and I ran him over with a 4WD - leg broken in 6 places. Huge operation, seems fine now, some 2 1/2 years later thanks to a great vet. Can't imagine the trauma of loosing him, but as a lesson in living life for what it offers, dogs are great!

Yep, Afi is a family pet and she will get pretty big (but still only about 30kgs), but females tend to stand a couple of inches shorter at the shoulders than the males. Having said that, her dad is a unit!

They're incredibly loyal and placid dogs and great for families. My wife grew up with Great Danes, so her idea of "big" dogs is slightly different to everyone else's!

Smiffy being dried off at the Pooch Parlour after a well needed bath and short back and sides ...distinctly unimpressed.

I'm the same but since getting my Long haired miniature Dachshunds, I wouldn't consider a big dog

They are so full of personality and loving - I am totally smitten with them

Oskar - chilling in the garden yesterday (bank hol Monday):

In other news, he _might_ have a new 'HPR' sister pup joining him early June - but it's a secret, so no pics yet ;)

Sean you've just made a lifelong friend of Lorna the receptionist at work, who is Vizsla mad! She'd drop everything to look after any of your lovely dogs. Trouble is you may not ever get them back.

    Cheers

I'm a huge fan of Alfie and Amy :)

We would have had another Viz, definitely. But an opportunity has come up to get another (female) HPR and I think it's too good to turn down. Pics to follow soon...all in good time :)

(as well as our Vizsla (Oskar, 3.5yrs) we have 2 other older dogs, Archie/Heinz - 14.5 and Milly/lurcher ~12yrs)

Mad is a word that often crops in conversations regarding our pair! We are "well known" at the local park and when we told everyone that we were getting a second one the word mad was well used.

A couple more pictures specially for mad Lorna!

All of the HPR breeds are great fun with brilliant personalities, neighbors bred from their Short haired GP and I was so close to getting one to keep the weimeraner company, love the vizsla breed too. Quite a few around us including wire haired and smooth of both and a few weimeraners too; proper working dog territory.

Beautiful dog, not wishing to cause any offence but not a fan of prong collars though.
