This guy arrived in Canada yesterday on a flight with 140 other rescue dogs from Mexico. We’ve named him Pedro. So far, so good. Very calm for a 7 month old. Our two elderly cats are not impressed.... they’re reacting much like I’d imagine we would if Ted Bundy had taken up lodgings in the house.
lovely!
Lovely

Baxter, going grey but still trying the cute puppy pose!
Had to share this one as I posted it in the bear pit under reasons to be cheerful...reposted here for those who can’t or don’t want to view that section of the forum.
It’s a picture of my grumpy 2 year old wire haired dwarf dachshund, Puck, playing with a friend’s 16 week old toller retriever, Willy. Taken as they were play fighting in our sunny back garden today. Priceless.

He's an oh so quiet pup. Totally relaxed, but has his 'moments' like every other pup. We selected a Rottweiler breeder with a long history of nice and friendly Rotties and the breeder selected one from the litter that would suit our (my wife and mine) character. Until now, it's a great match.
There's a Dutch YT channel (with English subtitles by YT, so not always accurate) called Hondenschool online (Online Dog School). That guy's videos have helped us through the first days and I'm learning every single moment from him. Bench training went according to plan 'clicker training' is going like he shows with his own dogs. (German Shepard and Cane Corso).
Highly recommended:

Fun thing is, sending him an email with a question works perfectly. He answers within minutes. FoC. Real life consults are not FoC, obviously.

Sorry to hear Enoch.
Always heart wrenching, but the right thing to do.
It's sad that we don't offer humans the same luxury.

They become such a massive part of your life. When they're fortunate enough to get a great home and have a great life then it's all good..
Sorry to read this Andy. I remember you showing me through your photos when we met up. Very sad indeed.
The wife and I were saying this exact thing on our way home. In our view it’s the one last act of kindness you can offer them.
The lovely vet that handled the situation was fantastic, she did the procedure in the back of the jeep whilst we held him. She said it was the worst part of her job, but also the best part of her job. I understand exactly what she meant..
Always sad when that time comes. Glad you are feeling content about it. RIP Stan
So sorry to hear that Enoch. RIP Stan.
I’ve not been there yet, but I know I’ll be in pieces when the time comes.
I'm sat here watching a two year old terrier that we adopted 6 months ago in the knowledge that the clock is ticking, determined to make sure that he has a great life - as I'm sure Stan had with you.
Thoughts are with you and your family.
RIP Stan.

So sorry to read that Enoch. You know you’ve done the right thing for Stan though, and thats the most important thing here. Remember all the good memories and fun he brought you, now he’ll be doing it all over again on the other side of Rainbow Bridge with all his other pals.

Cheers Stuart..👍
I'll certainly miss seeing the occasional pictures of Stan, Enoch. Best wishes.
Sam had a cruciate ligament done just over 3 weeks ago and I'm delighted to say that he's making a solid recovery. Last week he had his 1st session of aqua therapy and, if you click on the video below, you'll see that he got the hang of it fairly quickly.
3 more appointments before the end of the month.
In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
Mad weekend!
For two, it was all too much!

Elvis, now nearly 11 weeks old. What’s more fun than a tug game!?
It was hard to find a puppy class due to Covid restrictions. I’ve found a trainer who specializes in training Rotties. An hour’s drive from where I live.
