    Chico today after a haircut

Who are you? And what have you done with my dog?

    She is growing

Yesterday we took Sasha for an operation as she had a growth on her eyelid that needed to be removed.

Given that she would be under general anaesthetic we also had: a mole removed from her paw, her nails clipped, teeth cleaned/polished and her glands cleared out - sort of a girly spa day ;-)

Bless her, get one of these Ralphy, we bought one for my poor old Denzil after he kept knocking everything over and tore wallpaper off the walls wearing his cone of shame!

  10. #760
^^^ They look a much better option, thanks. The cone is an awkward solution, being a cocker spaniel she normally walks head down to the ground and ended up scooping the garden gravel into the cone like an animal bulldozer!

I've managed to do away with the cone by cutting down a pair of old socks and taping them over both her de-warted leg and the leg she would use to rub at her stitched eye, it seems to be working well so far.

It's remarkable how quickly animals recover from surgery compared to us, even yesterday she was back to acting normally and this morning she's as bright as a button.

I'll seek one of those collars out for future use.

Thanks. Lovely nature too. Along the right blood lines... Smooth Haired Utonagan ("Wolf-like"). The bloodline started in Finland. Her Dad was Malamute, her Mum Husky and German Shepherd. She's 14 months now and 38k. A little growing to do!

Here is our dog, Toby. He is a King charles Spaniel and about the third one we have had over the years.
Knocking on 7 years old this November. Bit of an odd story but I was working over in Spain a couple of years a go noticed via Facebook that he was in a dog pound which was about an hour away, long story short he had 28 days to be re-homed before they put them to sleep (way over crowded) so I made the hour drive, went through the whole passport/injections process and drove home to the UK with him a few months later.. So from southern Spain to the north east England!

Considering his background he is the best behaved dog we have had, absolutely no bother so god knows why he was abandoned one night. He was about 6kg when I got him which for his height and build was well under weight.. Now he is a bit of a porker but extremely happy.

Bloody dog gets treat better than me now!

Anyway he's a brilliant dog, very loyal to me so one of my better decisions. Poor lad was stuck in a small outdoor kennel (approx 5ft x 8ft) with two other large dogs so I had to get him out as soon as I seen him.

technically, off topic. Because it's not my dog. But surely nice enough to show her here:

My wife took this pic last Wednesday on a piazza in Venice. The dog's owner has a little antiques shop and put up the mirror for her. A very happy Stafford (?). Friendly to all tourists and a happy 'mom' with her 'baby'. A real tourists' attraction as you can see: the mirror refects other tourists taking pics of this friendly dog as well.

    Two great pics there!

I'm not really a cat person but I tried to pet a marmalade cat this morning and it ended up sticking its claws into my hand and drawing blood - my language was NSFW.

I love the Springer with the party hat. We tried it on Dot but she wouldn't have it and we ended up having to hold it on her head whilst distracting her with a biscuit!

    Note crappy home made hat.

    Cheers,
    Neil.

Can't resist posting a comment off course... Dot looks as if all's totally under control! ("Got my human in the perfect position for a proper relaxing moment for myself!").

Things aren't so good for Archie from Down Under though... He molested the garden...

That Archie vid is so typical of Bully behaviour Menno.

Last week my wife transplanted some shrubs in the edge of the garden and later on they mysteriously appeared chucked into the centre of the lawn with some accompanying soil.

Mrs was a bit peeved at the time but soon got over it. It what you sign up for with a Bully.

Great story. When my wife's BT was young, she had to hide almost everything for the dog's impressive fangs & molars. When the dog became older, the 'destroy modus' faded. Only tennis balls, tennis balls and... tennis balls. He chewed them into tiny pieces, scattered over the lawn.
