Beagles are great pets, very intelligent, super loving and beautiful dogs that train well with treats. They will do anything for treats. Don't really suffer from any health problems.
Bad things are they are known to be a bit of a handful if they get bored and not the greatest at recall. Bear in mind they are a dog that love the security of a pack, most bloom with other dogs/beagles.
Hope this helps but anything specific just ask

As always Neil, great pic (okay, I'm biased).

That Cane Corso was really a surprise: a mean looking dog, but a very friendly character. He wanted to be friends with everybody. After a short swim he started shivering and whining as if he was going to die of hypothermia... a great actor!

Here is Albert Sebastian Ludwig von Schnauzer, not really, his names Bertie and he's a miniature schnauzer...
(Before anyone says, apologies for the radiator, we've not been in long and I have't decorated in there yet).

He's a bundle of fun and from today can go outside to play, so we're gearing up for his first walkies tomorrow!
My daughter is absolutely over the moon and I'm looking forward to walking him to the pub on a Saturday afternoon...
    So Bertie has grown up!
He's great fun, goes absolutely bonkers for around 10 minutes everyday which is hilarious to watch and everyone he meets seems to love him.
What would we do without him now!?

Bertie's mad old face. He looks great.

My daughter in law loves mini Schnauzers but my eldest is all into Neapolitan Mastiffs.

    What Neil says!

Still, this flexible collar is a lot easier to wear than those lamp-shade styled plastic collars. With that 'shade' around their neck, dogs run into everything they encounter on their way through the house and outside.

Like most dogs Paul suffers when it's a bit warm and he's gotten used to our new ritual very quickly. We keep an old pillowcase in a bag in the freezer and he gets draped with it when we come home.

Sometimes he wanders round the flat with it and it makes him look ever such a little like Dougal from the Magic Roundabout.

Not our dogs, but we've known them since puppyhood.

Catalina and Braña live high up in the mountains of the Picos de Europe in Northern Spain and are the resident guard dogs at a hotel there. Their pretence of constant sleep is a ruse to trap the unwary ... actually, they are both very docile but their bark is something awesome!

We see them once or twice a year and they never fail to greet us, with a partially opened eye and a grunt. Huge doesn't describe them now:

The cat is regularly to be found using them as a bed or scratch-mat:

Any attempt by me to rouse them for a walk is treated with complete disdain and they are too heavy to raise up of their bellies.

Its a a dogs life alright.

Gf just adopted this creature from a pound in Ireland. She was on death row.
Had since Friday night and she's settled right in and has a lovely temperament.
We think she's got some Welsh terrier in her but was listed as a bearded collie terrier cross. There's no collie in there.
Shes been named bobbin but i wanted to call her serious because of her serious face. Nevermind. Thundercat got vetoed too.

How is bobbin getting along with your other dog?

Theyve not met yet but bobbin seems to be good with other dogs, she was certainly playing with them in the park. Mine is a laid back little soul who gets on with most things. I think they'll be fine.

This is Joep ('Joe' in English).

We met him at the chip chop when my son and I ate some fries after a sailing regatta.

Joe is by far the nicest and friendliest EBT we even met! Happily making friends with everybody. When I wanted to take his pic, he sat down, facing the camera 'sitting pretty' wagging his tale!

She looks really nice, very, well rescued!

A friend has a rescue collie cross, found through Dogs Trust, that also hailed from Ireland. Apparently there are large numbers of unwanted Irish dogs, to the extent that some have to be sent to rescue centres over here in order that they might have a chance of a home. I was surprised to learn this a couple of years ago, as I had a preconceived notion that Ireland would be good in the (domestic) animal welfare stakes, but apparently not.

Lovely looking dog, all the best with her.

This wee guy got a makeover and it's like having a different dog for a couple of months until he becomes a scruff again. He also runs around a lot more after grooming.
