The dogs must've known it was the last day of term at doggy day care. The state of it.

I had to unstick her collar from something before I put her in the bath...

My wife's parents' German Shep. Small by the standards of the breed, but she's quite an alpha female and consequently a real handful on walks - looking to rustle up trouble with other dogs, prone to trying to dart off in pursuit of moving objects etc.

Barney the Newfoundland was busy building up to an exciting Christmas:

But like the rest of us, he soon realised that it does tend to drag on a bit:

Dot has recently taken to creeping into small receptacles and having a kip.

Recently it was a pushchair and today it was an Ikea bag full of clothes my Mrs was taking to the charity shop!

She gives you that, "just try and get me out" look.

    Cheers,
    Neil.

Meet Cooper. Technically, this Staffie isn't ours. The owners (friends) went on a short holiday last week and Cooper came over for a few days (& nights).
Cooper is just over a year old and used to life in a city center. So living next to a park is something new for him. His owners go out to the woods that surround our town, but every short walk heading for a park with lots of other dogs is something special!

Cooper looks... well... like Staffies suppose to look, I think. Only on the outside. Inside he's a very small dog with only one wish: lying on the couch, hoping that the boys start petting him!

Earlier this evening, his owners came round to collect him... Only after a few days with Cooper we feel a little sad now he's gone...

fantastic! Gets high marks overhere in the household (and she makes my wife misty-eyed...). TBH: she looks like she's forgotten what she wanted to do. Not uncommon for a bull. Our dog had only (two) purpose(s) in life: fetching the ball (and kill all cats he came across when fetching the ball). Not in that particular order.

The breeder had a variety of working dogs, spaniels, lurchers and vizslas. He said it was planned but who knows? I've always loved vizslas but the size of the breed was a concern so as soon as we saw this little man he was a perfect match! Want to get him a vizsla brother now!

Our old dog died recently for cancer. Had huge brain tumor. :( But luckily I found a fathers day's gift for myself. She is "Borador" meaning mix of Labrador and Bordercollie. Hoping to get best parts from both. :D At the moment it seems to be a smart dog that eats everything. Including hole to a wall. I think I need some new furniture and wall papers when it settles down a bit...

    Bags getting her snow on.
I get the glorious task of picking balls of it out from her armpits at the end of walks.

The only good thing about this current cold weather is that the ground is hard underfoot so you don't come home with muddy boots and dog!

Here's a few pics I took of Dot today with a marrow bone.... on the carpet.

She keeps at it until it is a nub and guards it very zealously!

I can NOT show this to my wife! It will upset her.

The only way I can tell that you didn't take the pics at our house is the carpet... We had a tiled floor at that time.
It is an other fantastic set of pic of Dot! Thanks for sharing.
