With broken hearts we laid Nipper to rest yesterday.
He was brilliant, truly the sunshine in my life. As the song goes, he made me live. His lifeless body was rested in a cardboard box casket lined with a granny's blanket which is buried in a sheltered corner of our yard where is won't be disturbed. He is eternal now and our broken hearts wretched with the story that is Nipper. The most embracing, loyal and brave terrier dog anyone could ever have. RIP Nip.

I think I must have been brought up to like all dogs more than most people but when we lose one I always wonder why we do it to ourselves... but then you look at your pictures and they say all you need to know, pure unadulterated love, loyal and honest... sorry for your loss.

So sorry for your loss of a friend. It's so sad, and yet we have to let them go ahead of us. Memories are everything then.

    My Condolences!

What's great in this heartbreaking story is the fact that you were able him to bury him on your own ground. That's good!

Sorry to hear about Nipper, just remember the joy and friendship he supplied every day.

The pain we go through when we lose them is hugely outweighed by the companionship and loyalty we get.

N2, so sorry for your loss...
    Itís shit isnít it,
    Really shit.

Iíd like to say it gets easier,
    ...Iím still waiting.

Itís memories and pictures that console me,
And knowing that I gave her the best life I possibly could.

I know Nipper will have had the same.

I've done this twice now. Its brutal. You raised him, loved him and buried him, with dignity, honour and respect.
My regards to you and yours,
    J

You have my every sympathy. We have two planted out in the garden and when the sun shines and you are sitting out you will remember him and the good times.

Getting another does help you move on a bit.

Really sorry to hear that N2. It only takes a sad tale like this to bring a tear to the eye alongside all those memories and feelings that we have to go through when we lose such a great friend. They are always with us.

Dot spotted a bit of sunshine yesterday when on her armchair.

First off she just hung over the chair back, but then decided that wasn't enough!

    Cheers,
