Not mine, but a ‘rental’ for a few days - 8 month old yellow lab called Taz. I’ve just started volunteering for Guide Dogs for the Blind with the missus, and aside from being a way to feel like I’m doing something worthwhile for once, you get the benefit of a dog which I always enjoy. Taz was our first ‘puppy sit’, with a bit more experience we’re hoping to start raising one from 8 weeks to 18 months.

We said our final goodbye to Lucy a year ago and to be honest we’ve both had a bit of a job getting over her loss.

We’ve had a good think, talked it over and it’s time we got a new four legged member of the family.
Hopefully this time next week we’ll be bringing home a 4 year old Spaniel we’re rehoming and I’m looking forward to posting a photo.

Actually no, she’s a miniature schnauzer/ bichon frisée cross. But she’s quite chameleon-like, depending on how long/scruffy her coat is.
She’s about to get a lot smarter tomorrow.

Taken about 6 weeks ago with him still wearing his 'dog's trust' collar, he's settling in nicely.

Well here he is, ladies and gentlemen meet Harley S*** for Brains!

We picked him up Sunday and he’s absolutely crackers! I reckon he’s more Sprocker than Cocker Spaniel and is totally ball obsessed, we took him down the road to East Wittering beach yesterday and he loved it, if he could’ve played with a ball as well he’d have thought he had died and gone heaven.
We’ll let his coat grow out a bit for the winter but that syrup has gotta go, he looks like Mick Hucknall on a bad hair day.
