So many of them just want to belong somewhere.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Ha, boxer, no question. Takes me back to my childhood, we had three of them.

Seen that view many a time, along with drool bubbles. Always makes me chuckle.

Thanks for asking to see more.
At the risk of showing off, here's a handful of more photos, Teddy has turned out to be such a loyal, trustworthy and kind character, always entertaining in his play!

    I know all about that!

Dot had a nice comfortable duvet on her landing bed at one time.

    Just blankets now.

Knowing EBTs there are two possibilities: "I simply had to do this. It's a part of my character." Or... like my wife's dog -and he wasn't the smartest- a simple "Huh? What?" suited him best.

    Ha!
    Good question, debatable sometimes.
But as we live deep in the Suffolk countryside, he’s mostly off the lead and roams freely.

You must live in a very dry part of the country to put such a nice coat on a Lab.

They tend to love water even if they need to break the ice on top. The stinkier, the better.

Hahaha if you see a dog swimming, more often than not it'll be either a lab or a spaniel. My staffie likes the water too but doesn't swim, just for cooling down

    You're right.
I believe Suffolk is supposed to be the driest County in the country and you're dead right about the water being the stinkier the better.
We have a lot of Fens around us, Teddy just loves wading through the goo at the soonest opportunity.
Talking of dog coats though, Ted is the third Chocolate Lab that we have had over 4 decades and this time we have only ever fed him with the best quality, (read expensive), dry food that we can get and to date we have had no issues with joints, eyes, ears, pads or coat.
For goodies, we give him pieces of carrot and cucumber which he loves.

Same here regarding food. My (Irish) terrier is partial to green beans. It’s quite funny.

    Show us your dogs

I’d second this. I live round the corner from a lovely pet shop called Posh Paws and my missus went straight for the best (most expensive) dry dog food they sell. My little cocker Toby has a few behavioural problems (of my making tbf) but his coat is incredible. We put him on standard James Wellbeloved stuff once (I bought it to see if he’d know the difference) and you could definitely see the negative difference in the fortnight he had it. Switched back.

Treats in our house are sausages. He’s currently on Heck ones because I bought them for me and let them go off. Currently chilling under my desk. Spoiled little guy...

Used to feed James Wellbeloved, but in my opinion it’s not great. Apparently they were bought by some big company a few years ago and the recipe was changed for the worse.

Now using Orijen. It’s expensive but you don’t use much, and the quality is amazing. More importantly she wolfs it down, which she never did with James Wellbeloved.

I think, "it's part of their character" suits best Menno.

Our previous EBT Bitch was exactly the same.

    Langham's hypoallergenic from Aldi.

    Very reasonably priced.

Dot thrives on it and scarfs it down.

Here's Barley our previous spaniel who loved the water, swimming out to some rocks to see if there's any wildlife to bring back to me!

On his way back having decided there's nothing there worth having.

And searching the rock pools for interesting stuff......

Freddie the current spaniel member of the family will only paddle and runs back to dry land if the water gets too deep!

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Beco or Vonziu. Available on Amazon. Regular promotions on Beco, if not Vonziu. He seems to like it.

    It’s official......I’m a chav

I felt like I’d lost my shadow after losing Stella a few weeks ago. Now I’ve got her back. The picture doesn’t do it justice, I’m really pleased with it. 5 hours in the chair, I never thought I’d get a tattoo. Stands back and waits for abuse that this should be in the crap tattoo thread

Mate, I used to hate dogs and really didn’t understand why people had the dirty, messy, noisy things in their houses.

Now I’ve got Toby I cannot imagine a house without him rustling around (my wife is currently trying to corral him into having his flea treatment in the living room and not succeeding). I often absentmindedly thing of the day that I lose him and it’s unbearable. So I guess what I’m saying is that I get you mate. You’re not a chav, you’re just lucky enough to have loved her for so long and that’s worth commemorating. Is a great likeness and if it makes you happy then good on you, anyone who’s lost a little furry pal would get it.
