Neither are with us any longer. We still have 2 boxers and a French Bulldog...... It'd be too quiet without them ;-)

Great photo, I had a fully trained working Springer when I was a teenager. The most intelligent dog I've ever owned. Love them for their enthusiasm for life and everything else🙂

    6 weeks old next Tuesday.

The breeders (man and wife with 20+ years of Rottweiler experience, including 7x pups) have introduced a swing in the puppy bench. Reason for that: great toy to play with and -according to there experience- it helps dogs to get used to traveling in a car.

That's a bloody good idea, will give it a go with our next litter....

My wife in the ‘arena’ with 7 ferocious Rottweilers!

The idea was to deliver some of the stuff we’ve bought so that the smell of the nest will be on the items when he’s coming home with us ( and the toys)

Oh dear. Our little man is booked in to have that done next week. Did she have to wear a cone for the 1st few days or is the bandage sufficient? Also how is she coping on 3 legs for the 1st bit?

To be honest she's not bothered yet, but she is still a bit zonked from all the anesthetic, plus she's on three different kinds of painkillers.
We've actually bought one of those inflatable collars, much like the ones you get when you're on a flight.
We find the conventional cones too cumbersome, so we'll see how we get on. She did come home with one so at least we have one in reserve.
E.TA. she's not too keen on putting weight on it get, but it's early days.

Thanks - I have a concern that the inflatable ones might not prevent ours from gnawing at his back leg. Depending on the breed they are sometimes only suitable for injuries/scars nearer the head - or at least that's what I've read. We'll see.

It's very much a suck it and see with us too.

So far she's not been bothered by the bandage; Mrs GB is working from home, so can keep an eye on her.

As we'll be a week or so on from yours having the op, if you have any questions just give me a shout.

Oh dear. Our previous spaniel had both of his done, never bothered him much after the first day though. Hardest thing was trying to stop him overdoing it and tearing the stitches. Mind you he was a hard little so and so, hate to think how our current one would cope, he's just the opposite!

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

    Dog amongst the pigeons.

You wouldn’t thing he’s having an operation on his back leg next week.

    Update with pics.

She's been back today to have the bandage off. All seems to be going OK. She's taken to the crate quite well, and doesn't mind staying in there. No doubt the medication has helped. The pain meds end today, so we'll see how she goes without any.

I would be so proud if he had

Mine is a terrier that doesn't dig. My small garden is grateful.
