I've had a few Sinns in my time (at the last count; 103, 144, 155, 356, 857UTC, U1, U2S, UX) but the 756 Diapal that I've just purchased is hands down the best of the lot.

I like the simplicity and quality in 556 & they were a lot more affordable not long ago.

No longer have any of them after obtaining a 656L.

    [/QUOTE]

That 656L is stunning , first time I've seen one .

Nice. Keen to try a UX. However, I would prefer it if it was 42mm rather than 44.

Sinn... Mmm... I have a mixed relation with that brand: at one time, I owned quite a lot of these, sold most and still have only two. But these are keepers!

    My collection at one time:

Currently, the Arktis and the EZM2 are the only ones left.

At one stage, the Arktis was in a bad shape. Like it had been run over or similar. My watchmaker etch-welded a new corner to the lug and now it's brand new again, complete with AR filling. (Etch-welding has to be done in an AR filled environment - that makes it a lot easier!)

    Now it looks like this:

Only just signed up and feel like I've turned up late to a party but, picked this U1 SDR up last week and given I only spent half my budget, it's twice the watch I expected.

Truly distinctive, unique & unmistakable in the huge crowd of cliché divers and with a quick strap change to the rubber that also came with the watch, particularly with the black bezel of the SDR means, two watches in one. The rubber has the most impressive clasp I've come across.....huge at first glance but just fab! GasGasBones Zero Zero now on order and I'm completely sorted.

After 2 years of buying, selling and searching for a daily wearer, I'm done......

Think the number is 80 rather than 15. Intended for the Japanese market IIRC.

I love the EZM1. Is there a reason for the left sided crown on that model? Pardon my ignorance...

Perhaps it was designed to be worn on the right wrist.
Still, there was a ZTZ-issued (sort of a SWAT unit of the German Customs) model with the crown on the right side. Very rare indeed.

Thanks. I found a pic of it here...

Shame it wasn't a mass made model. Would be an instant purchase for me:

ZUZ are the SWAT equivalent, ZTZ are a technical group. The ZUZ-issued one (see Andy's above) is rare, but no righties. there are theoretically only 10 ZTZ ones, and they are not all righties, I am not sure hhow many are.

Loving the U1s. Going to hunt one down in the new year.

I think two or three of the ten ZTZs were right-handed crowns.

Crown and pushers on the left is to prevent accidental chrono activation and to keep the crown from digging into your wrist during activity.

    Great watch and photos Andy.

I'm just trying to take some of my U! SDR and can't match your quality - could you tell me your settings?

    Cheers

The wrist shot was taken indoors - 35mm f1.8 prime lens, F5.6, ISO 800
The outdoors shot = 105mm Macro lens, F11, ISO 160
Both on aperture priority with my Nikon D7100, tripod mounted & using the infra-red remote control.

    HTH.

I like several Sinn models, but not all of them. Personally my first choice from this brand would be a U1 on a rubber strap, because of its case technology and its different looks. Then the really lovely 556

I've never owned one, but I do fancy the U1 (red hands, stainless steel bracelet)... So simple and beautiful.

One I would love to own at some point Mark - the EZM 1 was a long time grail, I sold my 5513 to get one, but I found it just too light for my taste and it had to go... :(
