Just after buying my first Omega, a 45.5 mm planet ocean from egger this week, looking forward to its arrival, what was your first big tz purchase ?

It wasn't off of TZ, but from TF which led me onto TZ

Then it went uphill or downhill dependant of course on looking at the bank balance or watch collection

Back in the day when Eddie sold other brands and second hand stuff - one of these NOS Eternas:

    Stolen pic

I can barely remember owning it now.

As far as Sales Corner goes, which came along later, I have no idea what was first. Probably a Rolex GMT.

When I first arrived here I was into Omegas and they all came from watch fairs, GTGs and eBay.

Mine was a Bulova Accutron Stratford Chrono with B&P traded with the Maestro (Rinus). The watch was absolutely perfect.

Bought a avenger seawolf from langdalematt a few weeks ago. Have worn it everyday since, it was in mint condition. I love and hate the SC, such amazing watches pass through but I hate that I don't have the means to collect them all. I was also looking at the PO. Hope you enjoy it.

Mine was a SeaDweller - bought when I saw it in a jewellers window on a day out - the start of a slippery slope!

edit - sorry - tz purchase - doh! A Speedmaster - couldn't wait for it to arrive, and just in time for the anniversary of the moon landings too.

Mine was a Stowo MO...love it to bits. But I have large amounts of faith that isn't going to be the biggest purchase from TZ....

The first one I got from here. Coincidently I'm wearing it right this minute although on a bracelet.

This is my biggest TZ sales corner purchase:

Until then they'd all been no more then £800 - Doxa Sharkhunter 750t, Tudor Hydronaut and Tag Heuer Super Pro 1000 (all now gone - to fund the Sub).

Mine was an 18k AP Royal Oak (bought from SC circa the beginning of the year). A 36mm watch that weirdly wears bigger on the wrist (sits more like a 39-40mm).

This beauty from IVK. Mint, as new, gorgeous watch :)

Moonwatch, a few years ago. Also my first re-purchase. Learnt my lesson and won't be letting the current one go.

First one wasn't even for me: a 40mm Explorer II for my other half.

Unlike my subsequent purchases which all got flipped, she had the common sense to hang on to it!

I think I recognise that watch!

    Looks great on the NATO

An Aerospace which I still have. Have purchased bigger here, but that was my first 'big' purchase here.

My first, and so far only, watch purchase from TZ was this:

My only other purchase was a Breitling Titanium Pro II bracelet for my Aerospace Avantage Titanium that I originally bought with the leather strap.

I think this was my first from SC

After the initial love for it wore off and I wore it less and less it was swopped for a GMT2c

  32. #32
Pam 0090 wore it with pride for a week then sold it to a friend for the same price as they loved it even more- I regretted it about a second later and have lent a fortune since - most recently a navitimer and mont blanc

It's not actually a NATO but a two piece strap, it's too warm for summer so back to the bracelet for me.

Bell & Ross 123 that had really done the rounds on TZ!

Looks good and glad you're enjoying it. I'm glad I have my EZM2 or I'd really miss that watch - I love the clean design.

Brass Magrette from Vinny. Couldn't be happier with it. Not as big (expensive ;)) as some of the other purchases one here bit still sizable!

A orange monster bought from Eddie seemed a fortune at the time, then I joined this forum... I bought a Doxa 1000t Pro from David/GraniteQuarry. First major TZUK buy and first face to face deal.

I'd already bought and sold a few before coming to this forum but I'm pretty sure my 1st buy on this forum was a Seamaster from Scott (omegamanic). Which I sold to a bloke in Australia. He asked me to send it to his ex wife in the UK and she was going to forward it to him....he never ended up receiving it!!!???

Nice seamasters, I'll definitely be getting one, one day when I have funds.

  49. #49
Depends what you define as "big" I guess.

I have bought 5 or 6 watches through the Sales Corner here, but the biggest and one I was most nervous about was a GMT2 from Fivelittlefish which I have to say was my first entry Rolex.

Tag Heuer Link CFJ2110 , 27yrs old knew nothing of watches but the generic "ITs a TAG, I'M THE BOLL0X! " kinda attitude.

It looked nice! But now I really want a omega seamaster

No pics due to being useless
