As it happens, my local shopkeeper showed me a compass he'd bought yesterday. It's an older fluid filled type in brass, looks military but no military markings and is at leat 50mm. It's marked "ROSS COMPASS".
I'll ask him if it's for sale if you're interested.

Maybe I was misleading I ment compass wristwatch. At 50mm in brass I'll need to start on a course of steroids to wear it.
