The Seiko 6105-8110, that iconic divers watch that a lot of new WIS are infatuated with. Unmolested, original specimens are getting hard to find even here in Japan.
I miraculously bought this 6105-8110 from an uninformed seller who had misspelled the listing and had set a buyitnow for less than half of market price.
He had kept it unworn in his closet for the last 15 some years, so after it arrived I took it to Montre in Tsukiji (near the world's biggest wholesale fish market), one of the few watchmakers that are recommended by Seiko Corporation themselves.
They did a spectacular job of cleaning the watch, got the crown lock to work, regulated to +/-15 seconds a day, and waterpressure-tested to 150m!!!
Although there is some discoloring of the hands, the pale red dot on the seconds hand is still visible and the lume is faint but present.
The classic waffle strap I sourced from wjean, but I'm sure it would look great on a Phoenix olive nato (if I can figure out how to pop the stubborn springbar).
As always I am a novice with cameras/photography, but hope you enjoy.
The crystal has some slight scratches, but then I (again) miraculously found and bought one of these...
...along with a genuine spare crown and stem and what looks to be a period box.

Fantastic! Amazing find. I was in Tsujiki a few weeks ago for breakfast, didn't know there was a watchmaker there. Have you been to the Seiko museum? Unfortunately I only found out about it on my return from Japan, so missed it.

Wanted it as a spare, but a member on a different forum pointed out that the 320W18GN crystal is not made for the 6105-8110 (should be 320W10GN)...haha I was duped by the seller! Well you can't be lucky all the time :)Originally Posted by Cannop
