I love it, very nice watch you should be proud.
When I saw this being offered for sale, I just wanted it. I knew nothing about the brand, or the watch.. but I just really wanted it.
It was being sold by a trusted and respected Heuerista, so a few frantic emails and I managed to beat several people to the punch.
It's a Movado Super Sea Sub, from around 1965.. spent most of it's time in a safe in Germany, under the care of an old boy.
It has the same movement as the Zenith from the same period, the manual wind 146 HP, and I just find the thing utterly gorgeous!

Where does one find such a splendid specimen?!?
Many, many gems can be found in the little corner of t'net that us Heueristas hang out.. fair warning.. you wallet might get a battering..

I'm speechless.
......well, almost! For me, that just about sums up a golden era for mechanical chrono's. Worthy of a sreensaver. Looks wise, the Universal Space Compax's of that era take some beating, that makes an Ed White look ordinary. Movado & Zenith had some real crackers back then. Gawd knows what it cost!
Can I be your new best friend?
Fantastic watch.

Not usually a fan of vintage watches, but that's a very nice looking piece.
