    Vostok classic 1967.... brushed

Since the 1967 reissue was to big, I bought the cheaper Amphibia model 090916, which basicly looks the same, but just a bit smaller (still a big piece of metall though).

    This one

However I didn't like the polished case (really looks like a huge mirror), but I thought the case was chromed and brushing take of the chrome and leave a "gold-ish" case

    It's not! It's stainless steel!

So popped the bezel of and gave it a very light sunburst brushing.... really makes the diffence imho.

Vostok should have made this as well, there is another beadblasted version available.... but brushed seems to fit this design better I think.

Received a 22mm lumpy yesterday, which is a real improvement when it comes to the balance of the watch on the wrist.

The hidden lugs eat the straight ends really nice as well.

What a great look !! As you say, the case shape hides the straight end pieces, one thing I dislike about the lumpy.
