Drunk? Must've been strong stuff! ;) lol
Having Drunk a bottle and a bit of Red wine I decided to view EBay and before I realised what I was doing I became the owner of this: -
.
It arrived today and I am quite happy with it, it could have been far worse considering.
How many others have made drunken purchases? Photos?
Regards.
Keith.
Drunk? Must've been strong stuff! ;) lol
Does proposing marriage to my wife count?
Lol, bloody hell what were you drinking?!
Shit that is awful, that must ha ve been a strong glass of wine
No where near the worst I have seen on here.............
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
It looks awful in the first picture. But the second one I think looks rather nice.
Beer goggles have given me the "morning shock" a couple of times but that's pretty bad. Haha
What do the á lá analogue markers do? I'm guessing they light up whit the passing of seconds?
Well it's different.
Is it affiliated with Mercedes?
Tell you what, have another few glasses of what you were drinking last night, and I'll give you a fiver for it, sorted.
pretty unique..
Could have been worse, you might have bought a Gold and Diamond Rolex

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
Red wine, red watch???
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
damn, I wouldn't have bought that even if i was drunk haha, could've been better looking without the Merc wordings.
It does have the appearance of a promotional freebie
However £25 doesn't make it the worst drunken mistake I've ever made
Did some drunken trades with WIS-friends several times, involving expensive watches. The next day I regretted it dearly, but had to accept because I think being drunk is no excuse for making bad trades. Learned nothing from it, could happen again once the beer starts working and watches fly over the table.
OMG!OMG!
Well, I ended up ordering something not quite so terrible last weekend and I'm now trying to return it as I feel it's too small for my taste.
If I was sober, I would have known this is no itch scratcher for an Hamilton Team Earth or Pioneer... besides, it feels too small for a pilot watch...
I happen to like that Buran. It seems quite well proportioned. How big is it in real life?
Also, note that pilot watches were pretty close to normal size before the Luftwaffe reinvented them near WWII.
If you really don't want to keep it, I can PM you my postal address....
To answer a couple of questions: -
Yes the markers light up two at a time at second intervals - the o'clock and half past together, then the five past and twenty five to and so on.
It is an official Mercedes watch/merchandise.
And no, no one has PM'd me asking if they could buy it, so it will be on my wrist for - Ah Do it's Friday, tomorrow :)
Regards.
Keith.
PS. If a TZer buys Tony's car I will post this to them gratis.
A further classy pic

Yes, that's true. I happen to like a lot of pre-WWII pilot watches but then there's this thing in me that tells me that a pilot watch has to be at least 42mm, all dial. So yes, the Germans are to be blamed.
Actually, the previous (I think) watch I bought is an US issued pilot watch but I don't think about it like a real pilot watch... in fact, it's meant for pilots, troops, law-enforcement...
As to the Buran, I'll PM you.
