There are good days, then there are gr-8 days!

And today is a great day!

Thanks to a fantastic mate, after years of trying to prize it from his grasp he finally relented and this beauty is now mine!

and it now proudly joins my other 8 day....

    Happy days!!

A great pair indeed. Had both and miss the 190 the most, should have kept it!

It's the GMT for me - not that I'd mind wearing any of them!

    Cheers for the kind comments!

To say i am chuffed is an understatement! The 233 is my favourite watch and one that i hankered for for a long time, the 190 is similar in that respect that i've wanted to for ages! I am fairly sure the 233 will remain my favourite but the 190 is going to come damn close!!

And it took something this special to bring me back to buying again, there has been nothing i've wanted so haven't bought a watch since the end of 2010!!

Visible through the back is the perfect location for the power reserve indicator. So nice.

Both lovely watches, but I think I prefer the clean dial of the Radiomir.

Out of curiosity how do they manage to get an 8 day power reserve into the watch when normally you only get around 48 hours? And is a side effect that you need to be particularly active to fully wind it up to the 8 day reserve? Just curious to know how it works really :)

Absolutely gorgeous! I am trying to be 'sensible' and not buy anymore watches, but I will have to get a Radiomir.......they are simply beautiful & yours is the best of the breed.......enjoy!

On the 233, the in-house movement has 'three barrels' to store the power. I don't know on the JLC manufactured 190 movement tbh, but probably a similar arrangement. As they're both manual winders your wrist activity level is irrelevant
