I've got a white dial baton Super Avenger and think it perfectly suits my 8 inch wrists, I loved it from the moment I first saw it. I know it's not for everyone, but if you've got large wrists, it's a no brainier, well it was for me anyway.

  6. #356
Latest arrival in the house. I'd been hankering after a superquartz for a while, and looked at both B1s and the Airwolf. I slightly preferred the dial on the B1 but much preferred the downturned lugs on the Airwolf and definitely preferred the Pro II bracelet of the latter to the Fighter on the former.

It wears noticeably smaller than my Seawolf being 2mm less in diameter and about 3mm less from the bottom of the case (not inc the domed back) to the top of the (flat) crystal.

my newest arrived this morning, im very pleased with the look of it but the strap is pretty uncomfortable, hopefully it will feel better as it conforms to my wrist shape

this brings my colletion of breitlings to 5 and i genuinely think it is the last watch i will buy. i have wanted one for ages, now i have one and there is nothing else i fancy. I dont know if i feel a bit sad about that!

    Cool

Some tasty watches on this thread. My favourites are the superoceans on sharkmesh.

    I've never liked Breitlings.

So this thread is causing me concern. Some lovely looking watches here.

that would fit in very nicely, to my mind it is a proper classic breitling that breitling fans should own atleast once. that is a very good looking trio.

Big thanks to RossC for giving me the lead on this one. Picked it up yesterday from Andrew Michaels. They also had a cosmonaut in their display cabinet with a healthy discount (£3200-ish) that almost tempted me away but I stuck with my resolve for the B01:

I have always wanted a cosmonaut - I just found out tonight that my older retired neighbour is really into Breitlings and has 4 - one of which is a gold cosmonaut, and reminded me how much I love the watch!

    Great news, Christian.

Nice to see you got it on bracelet too. You know who to sell it to if you get bored

I love the silver numerals, and the red "automatic".

As much as I loved my "custard" seawolf (see pic above), i do genuinely now feel that the updated "mustard" Seawolf is the better watch.

The silver numerals really do it for me - wonderful, wonderful watch!

Liking some of the Superoceans here - and I'd love to get a 'Point Break' New Pluton with the black bezel.

Totally different to my Cosmonaute, but I like it nearly as much!

I'm not a fan of all Breitling's watches (modern or classic) - The Bentleys leave me cold, especially - but I think the general dislike some people have for them is irrational.

Nice photo. If I was in the market for a good quartz watch, this is what I'd go for... I really do like the look of the B1.

Just had a browse around the Breitling website. I see they've just released an oversize 46mm Navitimer and a new 48mm Navitimer GMT. I'm obviously a big Navitimer fan but think this is ridiculous.

i dont think the 46mm size is too ridiculous, there has been a 46mm version of the navitimer for a while in the shape of the navitimer world.

it seems odd to make the GMT so big though as it isnt displaying any more information than the world does and the movement fits in smaller cases iirc.

do they still atleast make a smaller navitimer for those who like them more compact?

I have the identical watch to the one you've just bought from Col, Jonah. Adrian is right - it's just fabulous and I can't imagine ever parting with it...

Breitling Boys. I'm going to buy this 20mm Deply for my Navi World

Seller seems legit and lots of good feedback and has a physical store in Leeds.

But for peace of mind a few A-Ok's from people familiar with the Breitling deploy would be much appretiated.

In return I shall grace this thread with some photos of my Blue Navi when it's on its Blue Croc.

I think the silver numerals do look good but I like my old custard Seawolf best on a black croco and so the darker numerals are needed to match it.

E_2_Rightforce thanks for the reply and I emailed the seller who was keen to stress they make their own straps but they Breitling Deploy is legit, they have a physical store too. So I've gona ahead and bought it.

    Thanks for the help

    Ok what would you do?

I have my Navi World and sold the leather strap as I don't like tang buckles and the strap was near the end of its life. The navi is on the Breitling Bracelet. I don't like it on the bracelet, there are very few watches (actually pretty much only Rolex) that I like on bracelet.

So I've got me a Blue Croc strap and Breitling Deploy for it. Combined cost of £180 when sale of old strap is included. I don't think i'll ever wear it on the bracelet again and I love the Navi World, so should I sell the bracelet? They're worth so much money it'd be stupid to keep it wouldn't it?

But some people would keep it for completeness if I ever sold it. So which should I do?

Just a couple of q&d's of the 3 Breitlings i currently have............

first up my 40mm Aerospace, got this 16 months ago and it doesn't get out much, reason being its tucked away for my sons 18th (he's 12!!) This one is in really good condition and i love it.

second up is my 42mm Aerospace, this one is currently at BUK for the full spa treatment and can't wait to get it back, my daily wearer

Lastly my newest arrival which landed yesterday, hadn't bought anything for a little while so treated myself. Had a Navitimer a few years back but for the life of me couldn't remember why i let it go, so, decided to try another. This time have acquired an Old Navitimer, i know they produced 1993-2002 but haven't looked into the age of mine as yet but suspect its older as there is a very nice ageing setting into the dial so much so that i'm a bit smitten with this. Wasn't sure how it would look on brown croc but love it, in fact love everything about it!
