Recently got to try the Aerospace for the first time,

Must admit I like it a lot more than I thought I would.

Think I may have to put WTB up very soon for an Avenger Seawolf, like the grey dial with numbers. Only concern is the size, but love the detail that Breitling put into the watches.

Seriously, McBeardy, you should go for it.

Until an Avenger fell into my hands as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, the Seawolf was top of my Wish List. I like 'em best in grey Arabic dial format.

Oh, and it's 45mm which is a great size. If you're used to your OM then I don't think you'll find the slight size increase over the Monster to be a problem.

I'm actually really disappointed that the new Seawolf and Avenger have both 'shrunk in the wash' - they're both now only 43mm which I think is a real shame...

Where did you get that idea, Simon?

As far as I understand, they are still 45mm wide, and 18mm thick. The Avenger GMT is slimmer, but the Seawolf is still the heffalump it always was

Very nice! Just a shame they've stopped producing them now, one of my favourite from Breitling.

I think I bought mine around the time they were discontinued. December 2010.

Well at least that prevents me from debating whether I should buy new or used when the time comes.

After a near miss in getting a additional link for my bracelet, I finally tracked one down, it arrived yesterday, it's now a perfect fit on my wrist.

Thanks Simon, think I need to go try one on, I'm debating the Avenger Seawolf or Omega Planet Ocean Seamaster & can't decide between the both. Base Pam is my ultimate watch I want & it's what to go next to it! Prices on SC always seem the set when they pop up, but struggling to find many places that have the grey Arabic dial format with brown leather strap.

I tried on a Galactic II Chrono, and really liked it. I couldn't afford a new one, so I hope I can find a nice new one when I'm in a position to buy.

I have a new yellow dial Seawolf on order but having doubts now if it's too "in your face". Thoughts?

I wonder if the SS Seawolf II Mustard may be a little too "in your face". The previous generation Seawolf Custard was bang on in my opinion.

I had one on order too, and never went through with it (bit of a long story!)
Basically I never got one as I ended up finding the Seawolf too chunky - owned 2 before I realised.
As for the colour, I could still go for it personally, but I think you need many other bases covered in your collection first (perhaps you have?)
Yellow does say Breitling for me, it's whether that statement (especially on a big watch) is what you are looking for?

I'm used to big watches so not too worried about that, but don't think I'll be able to wear it to work as the yellow is too much. I'll see how it goes anyway and it will be the first Breitling I've owned so quite looking forward to it.

It is one specific dimension to be aware of - its depth.
The majority of my watches have been 42-45mm, but the Seawolf is the only watch that used to be a door frame magnet! It is incredibly thick, and thus sits very proud on your wrist.
It is a superbly well made watch, and both of mine kept great time too.

I was half right. The new Seawolf is still 45mm thank goodness, but the new Avenger is down to 43mm.

It's official - my Steelfish is now up for sale to reduce the significant financial deficit created by my purchase of a brand new Seawolf!

Is the service interval really every 3-4 year's? That's what an AD told me, which seems a bit short?

Have to say I find the majority of Breitlings are not to my taste (too fussy / over styled)
However, the non-chrono Superocean Heritage and the classic navitimers are beautiful

Quite understated for a breitling, 46mm of classic elegance IMO

Just the two for me, as I get older I seem to favour the less complex dials and bezels...

    ....and this little charmer!

I'm sure my Cosmonaute's in the thread somewhere already, but I've added a B-1 recently.

Totally different to my Cosmonaute, but I like it nearly as much!

I'm not a fan of all Breitling's watches (modern or classic) - The Bentleys leave me cold, especially - but I think the general dislike some people have for them is irrational.

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?

The Ti Chrono Avenger is one of Breitlings finest, rarely see them for sale these days - not surprisingly owners don't want to part with them.....
