SuperOcean 44, & after 8 months of ownership, one of my favourite watches EVER. Bold statement coming from me, but I do really love this watch, & I can't really explain why, other than it just wears perfectly on my wrist & no problems at 44mm. The heft of the watch is perfect too, Oh, & the milled-edge bezel with rubber insert......I could go on......;)
Some lovely Breitlings on display here.

Got a sentimental heirloom 1969 Navitimer 816 in need of some serious attention though. Really can't decide how to go about it. Big overhaul or light service. That said, I don't have the money for either so futile thought really.
If they are, they'll come back.

It's Breitlings iconic watch and nice though the Transocean and Superocean Heritage are, I wouldn't spend my cash on most of the ones here, they will become unfashionable fairly quickly. I'm sure.

I do have secret hankering for an Aerospace though. Damn not so secret now

    Yup.
Black/Blue/White dial options and in polished or brushed finish for case & bracelet.
Lovely watch (wears quite big though).

Does anyone have a black dial B2 to show off?

This was my first-Breitling-that-never-was; I had decided on the black B2, but the AD didnt have it on the day i went, so plumped for the SuperOcean Chrono instead (a decision i didnt regret)

    Another 42mm Aero

Steelfish, same one twice, sold it and bought it back

    Yet another 42mm Aero

Had quite a few of them. Currently only have this Headwind left.

Would like to show this Skyracer as well because I liked a lot, mainly because of its bicompax layout and central minute-counter:

My first (and so far my only) Breitling - and the only watch that has cost me more than £1,000.

My 2006 Superocean Steelfish X-Plus on a rather beautiful navy blue alligator BOB strap fitted with a genuine Breitling buckle.

Looking at this photo tells me it needs a damn good clean (although it looks perfect on the wrist).

Some of the comments on this thread about size have been interesting and have got me thinking... my Steelfish is 44mm (which is why it's the X-Plus - they called it that for 2006 only to distinguish it from the 42mm Steelfish that preceded it). Anyway, back to the size thing; the Steelfish is 44mm yet to me seems to be much smaller than that. I have five 44mm MMs, a 44mm Steinhart Marine Chronometer, a 45mm San Marino and a 43mm Maranez Layan... but the Steelfish feels smaller than all of them. I've decided the reason for that is that although it measures 44mm diagonally across the case, it only measures 42mm across the bezel and only 31mm across the dial. All of which means that it seems smaller than it is...

There are a few Breitlings on my wish list... a Seawolf primarily, but I love all the Avengers and I'd be awfully tempted by a Blackbird as well.

So it's a shame I've run out of money, isn't it!

    Simon

these are my current two. The seawolf is not only my fave watch in my collection but my favourite watch ever, i love everything about it, even the daft things.

I would really like to add a super avenger and a navitimer world.

    Hi Adrian,

It was originally sold in UK Jan 2007,these were actually manufactured between 2003 and 2007.
This model is also the screw down crown version, breitling actually did an earlier version were the crown didn't screw down.
Bought this today with a recent service, full box/papers plus 12 months warranty.

    My Breitlings to date.

    Chronomat GT

    Mk 1 Blackbird

    Chrono Avenger. Slate dial

    Blackbird Big Date

    Aerospace Advantage

    Super Ocean Chrono

    Super Ocean 44

Bobs are decent but the Breitling crocos are the best OEM straps Ive come across, better even than Pateks and Rolex. I would really try to get hold of one, even lightly used if you can, they will transform your beautiful Fish even more.

The quality and comfort are on a par with the Omega which was the best rubber strap I've had.

Well I have generally found that anything worn by me tends to look rather wonderful.

But on a serious note, it was my first "big" purchase, and remains my favourite watch overall despite subsequently adding an IWC and an Omega. I can understand the anti-Breitling sentiment, as they are guilty of a number of rather garish models, but they definitely nailed it when they designed the Navitimer.
