    Good morning all,

What a lovely assortment of Breitlings

I am looking for some owner opinions on the Breitling Headwind, it is a watch that keeps me coming back to it, I have previously owned a Chronomat Evolution A13356 blue on blue and a Transocean 1915 Monopusher and I find myself wanting another now that they are gone and this is one that definitely piques my interest, particularly the blue dial.

Does anyone have current or previous experience and feedback regarding the Headwind that they can share... good or bad?

Real life pictures and wrist shots would be very cool as well

As mentioned before, Mrs P brought my B-2 as a prezzie for me surviving a brain haemorrhage and surgery in 2001.

Always fancied a leather and bagged this new blue calf on SC last week. I absolutely love it and a nice change from the fighter pro bracelet.

Awesome pair. Incredible how many basis you have covered with just these 2 watches.
Your photos have convinced me to get my Aerospace back on my wrist after a few weeks.

I really fancy the Seawolf but need to be in titanium, just a little concerned that these are no longer produced and I have read the the crown is a weakness on this model, can anyone recommend somewhere I could potentially get a good used model?

Breitling on the left, £12 watchgecko on the right and on the wrist. Other colours available!

This arrived yesterday, my 3rd Breitling so far, the previous 2 being a Chronomat Evolution and a Transocean 1915, both made way for a Rolex but I keep coming back to breitling so I will try and keep this one in the collection, it was a toss up between this and a Headwind. I have to say that I really like this... probably more than I thought I would. Not the best pic, will try again later.

Since this is a safe space.
Tend not to wear it too often but whilst a couple other watches are away for one reason or another it’s had a lot of wrist time.
Wanted a Breitling for years. Never expected to buy an Avenger II but loved the fit.

Tried on a couple of the new Premier range in Nottingham last week, blue and white face dials. Have to say I was impressed, so now on my wish list.

    Breitling Service

    Hello,

I've just has a quote from Breitling for a service and repair to my Breitling Chronomat 13050.1 - a total of £3135.00. This watch is from about 1998, has a Valjoux 7750 calibre and is in very good condition since Breitling last serviced it but runs a little slow. Admittedly I did ask the to quote for a new dial £280.00 (fair enough), crown (fair enough) but they insist on replacing the bracelet (£1160) or won't warrant it and neither will they polish it. They also suggest exchange of the case back (£60) which is unmarked, the Bezel (£680) which just needs a polish etc.

It seems they want to return a 20 year old watch to as new condition, which seems excessive; I don't expect it to be perfect, just serviced and polished properly.

Does anyone have any UK service companies they used and can recommend for Breitlings?

    All the best.

    The Breitling Appreciation Thread

Are you sure you cannot just tell them to do what you want? I had a similar (although slightly cheaper) response when I sent my mid-90’s Aerospace. They wanted to replace bracelet & crystal, could not warranty without (but when I pushed them, they said could not warrant bracelet for structural integrity - they still warranted the watch head after service - I said no to both recommendations and they refurbed bracelet to their best ability. Was not an issue.

There’s plenty of recommended independents on here, the movement is common enough. I’d go that way unless you really need a Breitling service to help sell the thing?

Just picked this up today, impulse purchase when I found it in a vintage and collectable shop I had popped into looking for nothing of the sort. Full set, B&P, original sale receipt and stamped docs from local Breitling dealer..... was filthy with DNA but it has scrubbed up well....
Later model (1999) with sapphire crystal too.

Spotted this Top Time down one of our local antique shops, which was a refreshing change from all the Sekondas that are normally there.

This has always been one of my favorite dials.

Two versions here, 2008 and 2006 ("arrow" second hand and "syringe" second hand).

Just got the Breitling leather strap in brown for my Colt GMT, really love how it's turned out against the creamy dial.

That works surprisingly well! I never expected the colt/superocean frame to suit a cream dial and a brown leather strap.

I have the yellow-faced one, but also love the newer, bigger yellow-faced one.

But - I know what you mean about the bloat-wear, that’s how I see the Seadweller Deepsea compared to the classic SD.

Love this 46mm beauty on my skinny wrist....

But not worn much these days, a 41mm Tudor BB chrono' has muscled in and is the current favourite.

don't think you will find a more bling watch ( without diamonds) than a fully polished superocean with fully polished pro 2 bracelet not long back from breitling full referb service ! was my first serious auto watch purchase and its been down hill since :-)

Just picked up this so thought I’d contribute.
I’ve always liked these and thought I would treat myself.
Quite subtle and not too blingy. Now just have to get the hang of twiddling the crown at speed for the various functions.

Not sure how you are supposed to do that with gloves whilst piloting an attack helicopter. (Not that I have too!)
