    Some vintage love :)

A brief sight on a few vintage watches of mine. I highly appreciate the Seamaster, but that Aquastar is also a beauty, especially with the Tropic strap and original tang buckle.

Two beauties, those 1040 seamasters are a bit special and is the tropic blue? Don't see many of those about!

    Stef, stunning watches! Congratz.

That Omega is amazing, I love such light blue colours on the dial.

Very beautiful. One of the most beautiful Omega's I have ever seen.
I think its the domed glass that makes it so pleasing to the eyes, for me

I've had both on my wrist briefly last week. Stunning as the Aquastar is, the Omega is in a league of its own. Even Stef's excellent pictures can't do that one justice. :)

I really love the blue accents on that vintage watches! Because of the blue accents they will be very sexy on a brown leather strap, that are my thoughts. ;-)

    Best! Glenn

the 176.007 is an iconic watch in my book. the epitome of the 1970's funky colorful watch coolness

Thanks for the kind words. From the first time I saw this one on a sales place on Internet, I wanted it. I saw it never before as I was a noob at that time, but I took my changes and bought it. It came with a damaged dial, so I went to a watchmaker and asked if he could find a replacement. After a while I got a call, and the watch got a service, new dial and tender polish. I have the original t-swiss-t dial and will keep it. But I prefer this redial.
Anyway, I made some fresh pics this afternoon :)

They really are beauties those 176s. I have one with the dark blue dial and it's one of my favourites, a definite keeper. I'd love a Big Blue but they are simply too big for my wrists. Excuse the rubbish pic.

Love that vintage one! One of the nicest I have seen. And, speaking of small details, that bracelet clasp looks great.

    Cheers,

This is how the original dial looks like:

Yes, there several different colors and variations of the watch, but of all, I like the silver/blue most.
This is what I collected on Internet during the past few years:

Endlinks on mine are 653 with bracelet 1170.
btw: I read that, at the time, it was the first chronograph who could withstand G-3 forces with working chrono...

Maybe it is time for a topic: show your 176.00X :)
