I know nothing, but I would have thought the pink gold would increase its value.
Looks like it could benefit from a valet, and an aligator strap would raise its profile.
A close friend of mine gave me his father's Rolex to take some pics and change the strap...
He wants to buy a new Sinn...and was hoping to sell this Rolex..
I would like to know a ROUGH valuation on it if possible?
Its keeping good time, and was srviced in 2012 at a RSC
He is hoping to get around £1000-1250...
Is that sensible...under valued...or optimistic..?
THIS IS NOT A SALE THREAD...I just need some input please..
Some details he sent me:

I think the valuation is fair given the recent Rolex service, I would also consider putting it on the Rolex Vintage Forum as there may be a wider audience that will appreciate this. You also would benefit from taking some pictures in daylight.
These are quite rare, the gold capping was 40 microns which is quite thick, if it it still in good condition may well help the value as would be a desirable watch. If you don't get any further with replies here try Vintage Rolex Forum.
Lots of these watches had a 'roulette' date wheel - alternates between red and black dates, if this one has its worth mentioning.
