My Heuer 1000m 980.023. It was a huge lump of awesomeness.
I don't think i'm able to go back though. I've tracked down other watches i've owned and loved in the past and bought them again but I never enjoyed them as much the second time round.

I bought a replacement for it last month. That one will go nowhere!

IWC - As a good dress option and generally good looking watch, it has to be this one:(except i'd want it with something better than just an uprated ETA movement, maybe an IWC movement or better yet an out sourced Piaget movement)

I miss my Omega PO orange bezel/Steel strap. I want another, but even in the 12 months since selling mine, the market appears to have jumped way beyond what I would want to spend to replace it sadly. Still, the itch wont go so will end up buying anyway.
i kind of regret getting rid of my spork. i didnt own it for long, bought it brand new and sold it for very little. i dont even know what i used the money i got for it for.
Regret selling my First Omega, the SMP bond 2531.50, one which was in impeccable condition.
Since then I have consoled myself with a 2254, but a SMP Bond co-axial 2500 is now playing tricks with my mind.
I was looking at the Yachtmasters in WOS cardiff yesterday and had a prang of flipping regret.
I did love mine.
Whilst I have never really regretted flipping any watch, especially one I could re-purchase, my biggest regret is selling a watch to a so called watch enthusiast whose sole aim is to resell the watch for considerably more than they paid for it.
I'm a serial flipper, due to my financial position dictated by my terrible and irrational dedication to the trombone and music. To get a job where I could afford to keep the kind of watches I'd like in my collection I'd have to sell my soul to some other profession.
The thing is, I have some real flip regrets. Not many, but a couple that I keep thinking about. I wondered if anyone else similar thoughts about a watch they have traded or sold in our strange tz sub-culture.
Here are a couple of mine that keep coming into my thoughts in no particular order.
Steel fish GMT. What a watch and ra as rocking horse shit. :-( :-( :-(
16753. Sheer class. Had it serviced then traded it in a moment of rolex madness for a 16613. Idiot!!!

I think you should always sell for the market price, no matter what you paid. Most of our watches are appreciating in some way. Selling below their market value is something that always seems daft to me. Your devaluing everyone else's watches when you do that too which is a pity IMO. Its more like selling houses than cars really. Of Course, the price one outs a watch on SC at is a rarely what it actually realises as almost everyone here enjoys a good haggle. Some sc prices are pretty obviously inflated above what the seller is actually hoping to archive.
(Awaiting a barrage of abuse about profiteering now!!)

As for my possible regret, there has been only one, and that was a black portuguese I gave up for another portuguese with white/cream dial w. blue numerals. I keep wondering if I did the right thing. Doesn't keep me awake at night, though.

Number one regret: the mint ten month old Speedy Pro I picked up in Japan for £600 in 2006. Yes, £600. I stupidly flipped it and ended up buying a spanking new one to replace it. Ouch.
My other major regrets are flipping my Marinemaster and Omega Dynamic chrono when both were out of fashion. Very bad timing!
I've also flipped three quartz Bond Seamasters, and know I'm unlikely to find another as good as my last one.
Still, there are far worse things to be remorseful about!
Oris TT 1 divers. Sold it to help fund my Seawolf. Didn't miss it for months but I do now. For the money it was worth I should have kept it.
