I'd count the hours up, but that would get in the way of my time on this site...
At this point I'm worried I have an addiction !!
I'd count the hours up, but that would get in the way of my time on this site...
Too many. If I start to count that will be an addiction!
It depends really for me, the past couple of weeks I've been looking for a couple of watches plus have a couple of questions on watch talk, I may have been on here 3 hours a day lately!, however over Christmas I reckon I looked for 10 minutes at a time maybe two or three times.
still too many
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Not as many as I spend generally obsessing over watches, including my own and their perfections and imperfections, and oggling those I would like or intend to buy.
If I counted it all up I would imagine thinking I needed therapy. Or to be more productive. But hell!
logged in, quite a lot, actually reading - it varies on the week's threads
Do people actually log off here??
Pah, lightweights!
An unhealthy amount of time! When not in front of the desk, i'm on it on the phone. Why did you have to ask this question, i knew i had a problem i just didn't want to admit it.
More than I should, but I think I must have spent the first 6 months reading & learning rather than posting.
Loads..........
Not sure I want to find out...
Maybe an hour or two a week, would be much higher if it wasn't blocked at work
Logged in from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00p.m. Actually reading about twenty times a day. God alone knows what that is in hours spent....
I used to spend far, far too long pretty much every day. Being brutally honest, the recent unpleasantness on here has made me view the forum in a completely different light; I now just pop in a few times on weekdays (albeit more at weekends) and plan to cut than down to the occasional daily visit. I see this as a good thing, bearing in mind that life isn't lived through a computer screen.
I tend to log in when i turn on the laptop..whatever time that might be....and stay logged on till it gets turned of. So technically i'm on here a lot...however,i dip in and out every now and then.
I'm here 28 hours a day.
Now there is less of a schoolroom "show and tell" vibe, I probably visit more than is healthy for my savings.
you only need to worry about addiction if you spend 90% of those hours looking at sc.
if it is your main hobby, then who's to tell you if you spend too much time on here. as your collection is one of great respect, your input with photos and stories behind your watches are of great interest to the many.
the only gripe i have about the forum is it is all about the watches and brands, rather than about the movements inside them which can be glossed over in two sentances.
my forum time comes and goes sometimes 4/5 hours a day and sometimes once a week if at all.
Since Christmas, more and more
lots and lots and lots
Much too much
My analysis found a direct correlation to the number of images posted in the Boys' Room.
I read this forum on my mobile mainly, 5 mins a time, several times a day. One of my mates was teasing me for it, until his wife revealed he's addicted to rollercoaster forums!
I probably spend more time on here than is healthy (for the wallet).
With smartphones though, it's very easy to check-in several times a day, for a few minutes at a time whilst doing other things. Also if I'm working from my computer, again it's very easy to check regularly.
Too long.
Tend to keep logged in on mobile or IPad and pop back when get 5 or wife watches soaps etc

Far too much time spent here and other forums. I don't use twatter (much) and bookface so I would still say I spend far less time online than other people I know.
I'm normally logged on while I'm working, from 07:30am to 5pm which is about 10 hours a day and then I pop back through the evening and weekends.
If you can avoid the off-topic subjects on watch talk it's an intersting place to be.
Although some of the repetative posts can be very entertaining as well.
I don't post that much, but I spend ages reading - so far, far too much time. I've decided that I'm going to try to contribute a bit more this year, so it'll go up even more.
Probably about an hour a day for me. I would spend more time, but my 5 month old is pretty demanding!
I'm new on here, and i log on a couple of times a day so i suppose that's a hour a day.
Not enough. I miss bargains and freebies on SC with alarming regularity. I might have to employ somebody to watch it for me. Outsourcing gangnam style!
I check in daily on my mobile around ten to twenty times a day, depending on what I'm doing that day.
If I'm in comms with someone, I check in more often.
There are a few TZ'ers that completely do my head in. It won't stop me from visiting though.
Genuinely some great threads posted from time to time. Some complete pissh, and you wonder how the op found a watch forum in the first place.
Know some great people after meeting them personally face to face through TZ. And even just speaking to a few without meeting, I get a good vibe from them. I always try to have a spoken conversation.
Depending on how busy it is at work...............many...........
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Far far to many
Too many. It's not just the hours that are the problem though. It's the serious amounts of money I've spent over the years as a result of reading so many threads.
I find it's best not to work it out. After all, ignorance is bliss
“Don’t look back, you’re not heading that way.”
Far to many hours... at least 1,5 a day... damn..
Used to be quite a lot, now maybe half an hour a week, if that. Good to see the usual whingers still at it.
I tend to 'visit' a few times/day. Usually I`m working on watches and I take a break every hour to rest my eyes; that's when I have a quick look on here for PMs and stuff for sale, plus a quick look in watch talk.
Not sure if I`m addicted but I do like to keep in touch!
Paul
A lot when it's snowing outside, and I am approaching the big 250
Probably an hour a day.
Certainly a couple of hours a day.
Heaven knows what the answers would be if the question extended to other Watch Forums and perhaps Pistonheads etc.
