    LANDED Emperor Tuna

Well here it is, ive been looking for a big auto Tuna for a while and was tempted to go vintage but this turned up. Thanks to Stefan for answering my WTB.

Im very impressed with the watch, the looks, the presence and build, I love it. Plus it came on a lovely soft Isofrane (vanilla flavoured) and as you can see some spare straps. A nice bonus. Its from 2011 so pretty young.

The bezel was a little stiff so I popped off the shroud and and bezel, checked the gasket which was fine. Gave everything a clean as it was a little dusty in there and hey presto, bezel is now nice and smooth.

Hope you guys like. I certainly do.

(apoligies for blurred pic, ill take some more later against my spring drive)

Cheers fellas. I've had the Darth quartz and Goldens and the thing that REALLY bugged me about them was the ceramic shroud. It looks great but I always worried about dropping it and seeing it shatter, on this the shroud is aluminium with a hard black coating so it ain't going to shatter. Proper toolish.

Looking forward to seeing it next to the Spring Drive

Indeed, but IIRC the shroud of the Emperor Tuna (sbdx011) is made of pvd coated titanium...

Plus with the Emperor and the ceramic shrouded versions it's the shroud that secures the bezel in place. When you remove the shroud the bezel comes off in with a light pull.

I learnt that the hard way when I owned the quartz (darth tuna) version. I removed the shroud and the bezel popped off and went rolling and the little leaf spring disappeared into the carpet. Took me ages to find it..

An absolutely superb find. I've long fancied an Emperor Tuna myself to keep my Darth Tuna company.

    AW: LANDED Emperor Tuna

And why didnt it bond ?
I searched for one myself a year ago yet l am reluctant now, strange isnt it. Good luck with the sale.

I did bond but I have a major collection change in mind and its this or my mighty Ananta. So the Emperor is up first. The 600m spring drive diver went too. Big changes.

i do love the Tunas though. If this sell ill get another later this year.
