    Ok, I sort of guessed so, but is it a pocket conversion or made like it is now ? And how old is it ?

    I would like one

    Not a conversion, it was made like that and was designed to be hand held or can be wear on the wrist due to the two lugs; I guess it dates from the 50's or so;

    unfortunately mine is non running,

    PM me if interested by mine,

    cheers

    Hi Andy. Nice watches, both of them. I've always liked these issue (and commercial market counterpart) Heuers and Sinns with the special and unusual, perhaps pretty much unique design case construction too. I have to say that in seeing the Heuer and Sinn together like that, though, I personally like the hands on your new Heuer much better. Looks great and good luck with it

    Superb looking beasts. Congratulations. I'm most envious!. Out of interest, would you consider having them professionally re-lumed? Or is that a no no.

    Definitely a no go, this is what happens when a watch is ruined by a "professional relume" ...making it hard to sell without a a massive reduction on the sales price.

    Hmm yes I take your point. I suppose it depends whether you want a display watch or something to use on a practical basis. I'm not bothered about resale values. However I don't know much about these watches. Would it make a useful every day watch or is it something to be treated with care? Sorry if that sounds a bit naff. I'm just learning.
