Well, a few years ago, a friend brought me a franck muller watch. OK, a copy of a FM... Back from Morocco, with exactly the same movement.
It worked for... 2 days ? well, maybe 3.

Was quite funny to dismount, seems chinese technology replaced a lot of screws by glue.

    Conclusion: definitely a sh**....

I hadn't realised that they were that expensive.

£195 is way out of my budget even for a Lange and Sohne.

No wonder. This is the very rare eccentric version with rotating crescent moon. Very desirable.

Just sent this off to him:

"I'm interested in buying this watch, however, I will be off to Africa for three weeks on a Christmas holiday safari shortly. Would you have a problem shipping to me care of Mbongo Hotel, Lagos, Ogun, Nigeria? I'd pay postage, of course.

    Regards."

Let's see what the response is.

If you want it you will have to bid considerably more than that.

I reported a fake set of golf clubs on two separate occasions a few weeks back and they sold for £400. Ebay are really poor at following these things through

Sometimes they will react fast, sometimes they take forever. A few months ago I was left highest bidder (couple of thousand quid) on a very fake submariner and the bugger actually reported me for nonpayment! I had to call Ebay to have the mark removed.

Not taking a chance this time, I have called Lange and they are reporting it through the VeRO programme.

I must say I am more than surprised that Ebay seems to be letting this run all the way (less than five hours left). We will see.

Just in case someone is going to snatch it away from me, I can still buy this one: http://www.ebay.de/itm/271125174781

... that is, truly, a hideous watch. Well worth buying for that reason only!

    I think we have a winner! £100,100.00

    Huh. What does this mean?
"This listing was ended by the seller because the item was sold."
I haven't seen that before on auctions when they end. Does that mean he cancelled it?

Ah looks like eBay removed it. I got an email earlier this morning that it violated their policies.

I am really disappointed that it took so long, especially as I had contacted Lange and they confirmed having escalated it to Ebay.

Meanwhile, Glashütte has had the other one removed in an instant. They are really good at it, I have a very nice contact at the company who is always very thankful for any headsup and usually has them removed within an hour.
