Never read the books, but I liked the trailer. Cruise has got charisma though.

If Reacher is as tall as in the books, that would count out Hardy and a fair few others including Thomas Jane.

How about David Hasselhoff

I would consider the 6'6" Clint Walker (now in his late 80s) before Hasselhoff!

The earlier ones, the last few have been exceedingly formulaic, and IMO, the worse for it.

It is a quartz non dated, made in 1987, had a new glass face put on it.

It's a nice watch if and when I get it working!!!!

Start at the beginning (Killing Floor)and keep going. You don't have to read them in order as they are all stand alone,but there are some references so past events and the odd recurring character. So far i agree that the earlier ones are better,but that doesn't mean that the later ones are a bad read.

Agreed, Killing Floor is the place to start reading, much better option for the first film too IMHO.
