Looks very nice, particularly like the blue dial. Own the 2254 and they make excellent daily wearers. If it of any interest Chronomaster have a nice 2231.50

That's lovely. More SM300 like and less average than Bond model.
Nice sword hands...this will always be a desirable piece
Lovely watch, have the black dial version with rubber strap.
Very durable and comfortable to wear. Dial is lovely
The dial is on upside down and the crown's on the wrong side, which is bound to harm resale. Otherwise a lovely watch!
I almost pulled the trigger on one from Chronomaster a few weeks ago but the highly polished bezel made me think twice as it might be a scratch magnet and there's no insert to replace.
Other than that its cracking, I've had two 2264s.

I think it's a bit too shiny, I don't like the date window, and the 12 o'clock marker looks a bit too big to me.
I'll get me coat :-)
I wore one daily for about 8 years, before I found this place.
It stayed on my wrist for just about everything and picked up a few bezel and bracelet scuffs along the way.
Last year I decided to give it to my eldest for his 21st and had Rocco at Watchworks service it (had never been serviced) and polished. Came up a treat and looked as new.
It's a fantastic alrounder and probably my favourite SMP combo and I prefer over the PO range too.
I'm with iml, the bezel is a bit too shiny for me.
i would agree with iml...sorry
I prefer these to the current seamasters. Never understood why they put skelton hands on a non chrono. I also prefer the wave dial. IMO a classic.
Just got to decide if it's worth his asking price...so what ya think guys?,what is the market commanding for one in these difficult times for a boxed 1?,not sure if he has the cards tho.
so whats a good price for a nice un chaps?.
I've a 2264, which I love. The best parts of it for me are the fantastic lume and the beautiful sword hands. I prefer the 2264/2254 black bezel to the polished one that model has; if you want a blue dial, have a look for the Ti version. But a great all-round watch, nonetheless, in steel or Ti
I`ve never refinished a bezel on these, but it should be straightforward provided it hasn`t been scratched too deeply. Downside with a polished finish is the way it will show scratches.
Bezel condition has a big influence on SMP prices because a replacement is £209 + fitting. Bracelets seem to wear quite badly too if the watch gets used for years in dirty conditions, causing the pins to wear. Clasps can be a pain to sort out too; replacement clasp springs sometimes don`t fit.
Not sure about price on this, but usual rules apply; what's it's condition, how old is it and when was it serviced. I reckon they fetch a bit less than the ubiquitous Bond 2531.80 and significantly less than the iconic 2254.50.

I had the Electric Blue Seamaster 2255 last year but I sold mine to fund a 2254. I'd buy another 2255 to go alongside the 2254 given the chance, I saw the one on Chronomaster but I was a bit late and missed it.
Here was mine:
It's a lovely version of the SMP. The dial is something special. There's a titanium version of this model, looks even more amazing.
So no opinions on what a good price for a good example then?.
i dont follow the prices, but i know when i was weighing up what to do with mine last year they seemed to be going for between £800 & £1200, age, condition & complete set dependant.
Might be worth a punt then, if so I'll pop some pics up.
