    A TZ cycling club jersey?

Would the members of one of the worlds most geographically diverse and exclusive cycling club be interested in a club jersey?

i suspect this might be a little bit like herding cats but Im willing to give it a go!

cost will be around £40 from a quick bit of online research (so dont blooming hold me to that exactly) and we would need at least 10 units ordered to make it worthwhile.

if you are interested pop your name down together with any ideas on design!

Im in Ill get to the drawing board, but I think a dial under the armpit showing a half dial at the fron tna d ahlf dial at the rear and the whole lot side on when in a tuck!Plus sponsors names! Rolex / Panerai / Omega or more realistically Timefactors!

I'm in. I'd prefer a shirt without Rolex, Panerai and Omega on it though

Maybe I've been too hasty. Would we get a complimentary golfing brolly?

Good for you. We'd still get to wear white and gold tracksuits with embroidered TZ usernames though, right?

I was thinking more of a tastefully embroidered "watch this" in gold letters over the buttocks...

Could be interested but would want to have a feel for how shiny the end product might be; if we're talling about something in merino wool (not bleeding likely for £40, I know) I would definitely be in. Have you got any links? Clearly any Timefactors content would need to be cleared with Eddie but I would have thought a Dreadnought Voyager may be a good starting point.
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.

Merino? Pah! I was hoping for vicuna hand spun on the thighs of keira knightly (a job for which i shall personally volunteer)

we could look into merino, lets see if we have enough interest to get it off the ground at all though!

The height of sophistication I think you'll find.... (can't believe he isn't wearing a gold watch though).

That's what I was thinking. A modern design with colours that would suit a cycling shirt (and my sunglasses).

If anyone is disappointed with the look upon receipt, I have the perfect accessory at a most reasonable price.

Would this involve lycra? If so, it could be embarrassing, but I'd be game for anything else.

Tracksuit sounds a grand idea BTW!

Of course its going to be lycra. Very tight lycra. They will only be available in chiselled greek god size i have decided! The point of this is to show of the results of all those hours on the bike (no doubt complimented by hours in the gym)

I'm in, as long as it is subtle (think Rapha or Torm).

ok we have ten in so far so that makes it a possibility.

I've now emailed Eddie to seek his permission as obviously we cant proceed without that but wanted to see whether it was a possibility before writing at all and have also sourced a possible supplier.

subject to the boss's decision we can then talk about colours and designs and desired quality and fabrics.

I'd be in...subtlety over bling preferred.

  26. #26
This sounds good, can you chisel a six pack in mine.......(not a J Smiths 6 pack) and are they long or short sleeved?

  27. #27
I use flat pedals and friction shifting, so I'm only in if it's tweed.

    Preferably thornproof.

Seriously, a great idea. The jersey, not the tweed. Unfortunately, I look like a pillock in any modern cycling gear so I'll have to pass.

    ( Eddie, I'd buy a T or a rugby shirt though ... just saying )

Eddie has approved this so we can go on to design now. I'm waiting for details from potential supplier but think we can safely say that subtlety is the first design brief!

    Subtle... Pah!

I was hoping for something a little more like this...

    I'd be interested.

Just ordered a new one from a local brewery (Bath Ales) which I think is cool:

A large Dreadnought on the back would appeal to me. I'll be interested to see the final design.

Ive just had confirmation from Strava that we may use their logo on the jersey :)

Hopefully tomorrow I will hear back on pricing and colourway options. In line with the general subtle theme and the blue TZ colours I am thinking of a darkish blue approaching navy as the basic colour along the line of number 281 in the chart linked below. Any thoughts?

    Colour looks fine.
Are we able to vary the style within the order ? I am thinking about long back, short sleeve/long sleeve, pockets or not etc.

The pic above is just a very quick mock up in trrms of colour and logos. Clearly we are going for a cycling specific product with rear pockets etc.

Im waiting on pricing and colourways so should have plenty of options available.

one option Im thinking of is champsys and you can see the kind of things they do here:

    http://champ-sys.co.uk/custom/cycling/gallery

The other option Im exploring is Castelli whose Aero Jersey looks very nice indeed! Waiting on pricing for this one.

I'd prefer long sleeve / long back. And TBH I don't really want a massive Dreadnought logo.

Could we maybe incorporate a diver's bezel markings into the design ?

    Thanks

Rear pockets are non negotiable im afraid!

we may well be able to do a mix of long and short sleeves depending on who we order

i have set up tzcyclingclub@gmail dot com where you can email me your requests once we have a sizing chart and prices to work with.

  43. #43
Ok - I can live with short sleeves. Not going to be this cold all year round (hopefully).

    Cheers

    A TZ cycling club jersey?

Would prefer URL moved to shoulder under flag. Small watch face/hands and lume markers on right shoulder blade; discreet. Looks a little too like vendor wear ATM.

    White instead of red text?

The text should actually be orange not red, not sure why its been mangled by photobucket.

cant we have at least one watch/clockface?

I'm open to suggestions - its a collaborative effort! so please post design ideas that you think would work (having due regard to IP rights naturally so we can actually use it!)

I haven't got time to draft something up at the moment, but what about a combination of a watch face and/or bezel somehow combined with a chainring.

    very clever

Even though I'm not in the market for one of these I can't help but think the colour scheme should be based on either the Speedbird NATO or the James Bond NATO with a twist.
