That's fantastic. Wish I knew how to make Android widgets. I'd steal that for my phone homescreen.

For me the GMT hand tells the same time as the main hands. I wonder if the clock takes the computer time and the GMT hand just matches that?

  29. #29

New Dreadnought GMT clock at the top of the page!

Both hands take the time from your computer.

I'm a software tester so trained to be a bit ocd so : Local time is correct but GMT time is showing the same as local time which is incorrect when you are in a different time zone (in my case Brussels : GMT +1)

Everytime time I look at that clock I keeping thinking the second hand has stopped. Your eye is drawn to the orange and then you see the real second hand.

I have to admit, I think you're right. Its a bit of a fault the more I look at it (err... Sorry, Eddie. No offence intended). It would possibly work better in white, or a slightly different shape. One reason this hour hand appears, on first glance, to be a second hand is that the actual second hand is black and therefore not so obvious.

I am sorry to go off topic slightly here folks, but....

Now i can fully appreciate the excitement building for the release of the new Dreadnought, and rightly so, it is a corker of a watch.
Please excuse my inept and lazy use of the search functions, but are there any threads relating to the design of the original Dreadnought anywhere??
It is a very distinctive design, and i can see why they are such sought after and admired pieces. I would like to read about the design stages with this and the original watch. Eddie, would it be possible to post up some scans of design sketches and notes, manufacturing details and extracts of conversations with machining/assembling companies etc?
It would make for a most interesting read the start to finish history of such sturdily and well designed watch that has developed a nigh on, and deserved, cult following.

We'll see what a ''cult following'' is when the buyers of the GMT pop them on sc!,maybe the ''cult following'' will have faded a bit by this time hey lol.Be curious to see who buys 1st + whom sells 1st then read the dreadnought gmt threads to see what their particular post said about how much they wanted one,and the reason for selling, why would they sell it!.Mmm I wonder why.

just out of interest, i wouldn't mind using something more generic as not to infringe on any brand or copyright, but a watch face clock would be great on some of the web apps i create.

Any idea where i can pick up the the source code?
