The Sewills chrono?
Mystery dial
Is it the Dreadnought GMT ultra slim?

Very nice indeed. I have never owned a chrono, maybe things will change now.
Could we also have one with a rotating black 1-12 bezel please?

It always starts like this, with Flatts teasing........................
F.T.F.A.
ahhh, nothing quite like screwdown pushers!!!
Tachymeter scale as drawn more use for checking lower average speed?
Im guessing its the Sewills-Montega-tona? Excited about this one - Whats the estimated elapsed time from photo-realistic renders to "for sale"?
And
Did he specify which London Olympics? We seem to have one every 50 years or so on average.
Science Fiction???
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Needs the logo. Maybe in red?

Love the last design and the logo is perfect.
Hi Eddie, I like the direction in which this design is going but be careful not to use too many different typefaces on the watch. In your last version posted there looks to be 4 different styles, from to traditional to more modern styles.
Also, whist 'SMITHS' had various styles of logo over the years, I would recommend your reincarnation of the brand should opt with one, consistent version, and stick with it across all your Smiths models.
Chris
I tried different mock-ups of the last picture Eddie posted and to me the best was the one with out the crown. Clean and balanced
I think this latest one has gone too far into Sewills territory (i.e. a whiff of Sunday supplement about it). I think the previous version with the existing SMITHS logo and crown looked really good - understated, forward looking and somewhat cool! Possiby an additional line of text, either England or Chronometer would look ok but both is too much and I would lose the red altogether.
Martin
I'd be curious to see how it would look without the red, perhaps with blue or black in place of the red chrono track.
Hard to do a chronograph that doesn't look cluttered, it looks spot on!
Will there be a choice of white or black dial, or just one? If it's one I vote the white dial.
Where do I sign up?
Is sapphire a realistic option or are you going with a domed acrylic similar to the everest?
Can I just interject a bit of nerd and say that those are some gorgeous renders.
Mighty nice timepiece, too, the very best yet IMO.
A bit off the point or maybe not but what's the experience with the PRS5? I have an ST19 (not on a PRS5) and it never gave me any problems. AFAIK is a very good movement for not much money. There's the 3133 also but now that production has ceased they are being sold by silly money.
Any chance of a bigger pic eddie? Maybe with both dial options on? I'd like to use it as a wall paper and decide what dial to get, if not get both!

Don't waste time on making pictures; get on with making the watch! (Please)
(That may not go well)
Actually, I don't think it is... but I might be wrong here. COSC is a Swiss chronometer certificate and, catch 22, the watch has to be Swiss... and accurate to 3 seconds a day. But there are (or used to be) other chronometer certificates, like from the Glashutte observatory. And remember your own marine chrometer, put toghter by Jeremy Thacker to help ships figuring out the longitude.
Chronometer is something that came before the Swiss devious ways (they try to sell you the idea they invented everything clock/watch related...)
Apologies if I've somehow missed it but does anyone know the size on these?
Hopefully 40mm?
Also, as seen from the photo above of the original watch the Smith hour hand is about 20% too long, hopefully that will be addressed.

Oh bugger. This one looked like it might have been something really special. I agree about the dodgy Turkey connection. Who owns the IP rights to the drawings?
Edit: would have, definitely been special.

In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
Gutted. I was all kinds of excited about this one too :(
Sorry to hear that.
BTW, is Kemmner out of favour for future projects Eddie? Couldn't he do this one?
Didn't Fricker make cases for TF at one time? Surely they could make this case?
The case is the easy part, it's the movements which are difficult to get. It could be made with either a Valjoux 7753 or ETA 2894 (current movements) or Valjoux 72 and Valjoux 7736 in obsolete movements. Nothing available at the moment though.
