While they're definitely not the rarest, costliest or fanciest of watches, they suit me just fine, and I'd be more than satisfied with them as my only three. How things change; at one time, Rolex was pretty much the last watchmaker I'd have considered.
Quality thread, thanks for the link. Interesting to see the process of cutting down from such an extensive collection, as I've started that myself — though not nearly from such an abundance!
Funny that you mention the groovy Vintage 1969 Zenith in RG among the three that you recall fondly. That one made a great impression when I tried it a few years ago; it remains among my favourites also, and I still think it's a seriously underappreciated watch. :D
