There will be plenty of those when they're out of stock and you're still swithering. :)

You obviously were not looking at the same weekend in the calendar that Eddie was looking at. Another one if those...'had to be there' moments.

The more I look at it, the more I want one. (A 6105 that is). I'm sure it's a great watch, but for me the brand just isn't right for such an iconic design, and I find myself doing a double take each time I look at it. A bit like seeing a vintage Ferrari with a British Leyland badge.

I'm just stating my opinion. Just because it's not a sycophantic one doesn't make it an insulting one.

"British Leyland" was stamped on my favourite toy-cars I used to play with, which was quite a while ago. That brand must be vintage as well by now.

If you think the "iconic" (and frankly it isn't, that stupid word means nothing any more) 6105 is anything like a Ferrari in any way, shape or form... actually nevermind, you're right. Vintage Ferraris are, or were, badly made and overrated and booted into touch by anything more modern.
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!

  43. #543
Any interest in one of these?
Yes, now that I've seen the photo's (Tech drawings & CAD stuff doesn't work for me).

    It looks very nice indeed.

Then use your own analogy, the brand is irrelevant. For me the 6105 says Apocalypse Now. Smiths says 3 day weeks, power cuts and British Leyland.

I think it is out next week end...
When asked a few days ago when it would be available to buy the answer was... 'next weekend' rather than 'this weekend' subtle difference but in Yorkshire 'next' means the one after so to speak.

Well that is what I took it to mean!

Meanwhile there are a fair few waiting for the PRS30
