A question of taste - Glycine

    Hello gents,

Stuck in thought with regards to a Glycine watch...

What are your thoughts? I'm pushed away from the orange dial because it looks like a bit of a copy of a speedmaster...

i'm a fan of Glycine ....and bought one on an impulse purchase on a visit to Neil at Chronomaster !!

I also met the owner of the company at Salon QP last autumn and he was a really cool guy and very happy that someone came to talk to them that had one of their watches (I wasn't wearing it at the time)

I have a preference for the 2nd model ..... the hands are better suited

Second one for me too - but due to the face rather than the hands, although looking at it again prefer the hands too!

The second one (the newer one) is for me a much better looking watch.
I'd love to have one at some point in the future. It's one of those brands that I keep meaning to give a try but always something else crops up

I'm a fan of Glycine, one of the underated brands IMO, but not keen on the hands on the Combat models, but if I had to choose one, it would be the third one with the orange bezel, as the bit of colour adds to the overall impression, and the fact that it is on the bracelet which I prefer on my watches

I've had a number in the past including Airman 2000, Airman Base 22 and a couple of others and in time another Airman of some description will be back in my collection.

The in2watches special is also a stunner. It is a rearrangement of existing parts into this.

Is that a black back or blue back? Strange but i've not seen the orange dial with a black back...

The 2nd one for me too. The first has too much going on, the 3rd doesn't work with orange and blue together.

The bronzey one above is lovely, but don't like the black case.

aye, the middle one on a bracelet for me too!

those other hands and that orange

I own the first one, but agree with the consensus that the second one has a cleaner, more stylish look to it.

In either case, I'd go bracelet. It's great quality, and well worth the extra money.

The 2nd is the nicest, it look is the most complete but I do like the 1st ones dial more, I like that orange touch.

Its obviously heavily influenced by a couple of mainstream watches - but in a good way. I rather like it! The only problem I have with it is the fact it has the word "combat" on the dial.

I've had a few Glycines, but have to agree with the above. I really like the chocolate coloured one, but the "combat" on
the dial would put me off.

A question of taste - Glycine

Am I the only one that gets a question mark for second pic in opening post?

The orange bezel I posted has black dial.

Glen Goyne - what are the watch numbers on those two if they are black back - they've thrown the cat among the pidgeons?!!! Cant see them on the Glycine website or any other AD site - everyone has the blue back only...

    Thanks,
    Nt

Middle one on a bracelet for me too - although I tried a quartz combat sub a couple of years ago and found. It a bit small for my wrist.

I don't own a Glycine, however I prefer the first one. The second one is crisper looking but a tad plain. As the old saying goes, you pays your money and makes your choice.
    Best of luck.

    Yum.
However, fortunately I haven't quite had enough pinotage to give in to that!

I also like their California-dialled models.

Several Glycines I've owned have been sold off, but these two have been keepers.
