    Am I clinically insane?

I thought I have finished buying for the foreseeable future (Well, we all say that!), I recently acquired a 2007 SD to accompany the PAM 111, but I've always craved a Royal Oak Offshore, particularly the Scuba. Now there's a place in Manchester which has a couple for sale, so now the demon inside me is saying part ex my two for the Scuba.

What's your thoughts? Do I need the men in white coats to take me away? Not told the missus yet, that should be fun!

    Over to you...

As your only watch? No for me. Doesn't sound like you've spent enough time living with your current two, and there are more versatile watches if you're going down to one.

For a real Royal Oak, why not? For an Offshore, I wouldn't.

If you're seeking reassurance of your sanity, you'll get it in spade-fulls here.

If, however, you are seeking the correct answer to your question, ask your other half. There is little point in asking the patients of the asylum.

I only read the title of the thread. You're on a watch forum so yes.

Difficult choice. Although the PAM and SD are nice watches, the AP is from one of the great watch houses, and hence has more prestige - which may or may not mean that much to you. It has a little more "specialness" IMO.

In terms of looks, they are all very different and probably equally nice in their own way. The Diver is thick, but no bulkier than a PAM. I guess it depends if you are bored of your current watches.

Who is selling it in Manchester, and for how much?

You'll miss the SD. I should know I 'm on my 4th or is it 5th. Each time it goes, I have to get another soon after.

If you buy the RO well then you can always sell and get back what you have now.....

I was in a similar contented position when I tried on a Hublot Steel Ceramic.

I had to sell 4 to cover it, but figured I could always replace them if I really missed them, whereas I might not get the chance to justify a big spend again.

And I've no regrets, so I'd definitely say do it.

Btw, do you mean a new AP ROO Diver, or a pre-owned Scuba, as the latter were limited editions I believe?

It's a Scuba. Tried one on in Selfridges this afternoon, it fits perfect. So tempted to do a Usain Bolt!! Wears just like my PAM

Now THAT has really compounded the dilemma

If it is on the AP bracelet I say go for it. I would be surprised if you could trade in the SD (£4000) and PAM 111 (£2700) = £6700 total for a Scuba as I believe even second hand they go for a fair bit more than that

Yeah, I'll have to get the 2p jar emptied to pay the remainder!

Do it, you won't regret it. If you have the opportunity seize the day.

    It seems you're already there!

And to answer your question, I'd welcome you with my arms open in our ward, but can't at the moment as they're restricted by some kind of vest

    Re: Am I clinically insane?

This is Manchester Selfridges a couple of days ago, next to the AP stand.

Just watched the clip. Was the watch stand really that close to the exit?
