First day out with my new (to me) Pentax, just a quick hour walking around town.

Possibly not the most technically challenging of shots and I'm not 100% with the composition with the first one however they'll do for starters. If you look closely you can see me in one of them...

Please Note: It is possible that Griswold may know nothing whatsoever about horology. It's even possible that he has never even owned a watch. It is also highly possible the he has a strange imagination. His wife insists he would be far better off paying more attention to taking his medication on time.

Thanks. It is the altar in the Jerusalem Chapel in the Adornes Estate, Bruges. It is mid 15th century, supposed to be modelled on the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. I don't know what the macabre nature of the altar represents. Punk crusaders? The fall of Constantinople?

    Best wishes,
    Bob

Thanks for that Bob, greatly appreciated and will have to look it up next time were' in Bruges. I recognised the canal and one of the 'horsemen' in your post in the other thread as being from Bruges but didn't think to associate this shot as from being there too.

A very interesting picture indeed. Apart from the nice tones and contrast, the subject piqued my interest. A search revealed that it appears to show some of the "Arma Christi" .
