I’m not an acolyte of TVG, but at least he posts high quality vids and meaningful content. The history of the Seamaster vid he did last year was excellent. I’ve never seen AC3 make one video worth watching other than for cringe factor. Have actually been enjoying a bit of Bark & Jack lately, and Jodi at Just One More Watch - he seems a genuine guy and is very easy to watch and listen to - no BS, no pretence.

I quite like Teddy Baldasare at the moment. TGV just waffles on and on so not watched him recently.

Tim Mosso on Watchbox Studios is just head and shoulders above all the others IMO.

Would love to see some of the watch brands come out with an AC3 LE just to rile him up.

If a micro brand called “sh!tter” released an AC3 with a unicorn dial to match his T-shirt with a distressed nato strap to match his worn out shirts I’d be on it in a second. Would definitely be a watch to bring a smile to my face

Off to research launching a kickstarter now....

Thinking a Patek style gold case for the AC3.

Already thinking of my second watch to launch as well.

I was an admin at Watch Talk Forums with John for years. We're still FB-friends.

He's not much into watches anymore.

Oh yeah his videos are quality, but then with the amount of copyrighted material he steals, I suppose they're bound to be.

I am afraid that Archie does the Aussies reputation for brashness no favours.

I love Archie. He's a nutcase but very entertaining one at that... and completely numb to any criticism.

AC3 is a buffoon but a watchable on at that. I got hooked after watching the 'archie explodes' playlist, just love people baiting him with watch reviews for 'shitters' or making their intro overly long. Gold!

Under the buffoonery lies a very knowledgeable man. It is a pity he acts like a buffoon but he does.

Not so much a pity -- it's got us talking about him, as I see it.

There are many knowledgeable men and women in the world. To get ahead being knowledgeable isn't enough; a person needs an angle, a gimmick, that makes them stand out. Paul Pluta's gimmick is Archieluxury.

Really? ‘Very knowledgable’? About what? The truth is he’s a mentally unstable , unemployable obsessive . He’s not funny, he’s sad.
Note the way he keeps repeating his sentences .Over and over again. Stuck in a basic, crude set of ideas. Like a needy infant.
He genuinely needs medical help, but I suspect those around him gave up years ago. It isn’t going to end well for the poor chap.

Some of his postings are well researched and his projections on value forecasting have been good. However I agree with you that he is a sad case of letting his online persona take over from reality. I suspect, like you, it will not end well for him.

Paul Pluta was on the Scottish Watches podcast a few weeks ago and came across as quite normal.

He's DRUNK in most of his videos. And drunks are known to be repetitive and annoying.

But I agree that he knows a LOT about watches. He's not a stupid guy.

And he's completely unique persona. He rants, swears and raves about watches. It's not normal to take watches that seriously... that alone indicates that he has some hmm... "issues". But he's genuinely PASSIONATE about everything in the watch scene.

I think there's room for one weirdo-Archie in the world of watches. I don't wish him any harm. Au contrary I hope he gets his problems sorted out.

Quite agree. Once watched 60 seconds of Archie a couple of years ago. Not on my wavelength so not watched anything since. I suppose he's one of those 'personalities' that have emerged via the popularity of so-called You Tube 'influencers'. Whether he's a drunk/druggie/actor/persona/normal or all of the above, makes no difference. He'll always find an audience. Personally, I wouldn't even ask him the time let alone for watch advice...

One of his suspect friends used to be a member here... Until he flounced off in a huff... An absolute bowel of a human being...an actual idiot.

Don’t worry about Archie, he prepared for the end of the world as we know it by hoarding 5 Patek Philippe’s on finance. Oh wait..............

I do believe there is ALOT of himself in the character
