How do I edit the title of my post

I can edit the post but can't see how to change the title, anyone?

I did that but it doesn't change the thread title and that's the one I need to edit.

How true, I did exactly that and thought I had edited the title. Now I have checked it hasn't... Back to the drawing board I'm afraid....

It seems that I can edit the first post title, but doesn't change the thread title.

If anyone can work it out, I'd be interested to know, this is a feature I use quite a lot... For example, I always put a price in the thread title on SC, should I (theoretically, shhhh...) be considering a wee reduction, the original price will remain firmly entrenched in the title!

I have a thread running here: http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.ph...t-EZM1-content! where I have updated the thread and wished to amend the title to indicate that. As above, although I have amended the title of the initial post, the original thread title remained... I guess the new forum does not allow it?

If it can no longer be done I guess its one of the new features we need to get our heads around and think more carefully when posting.

There is a time limit for editing many aspects of a post, including thread title. This was set at 5 minutes to allow editing in case of errors but I've now changed this to allow editing for one week. Most posts which have the title edited are sales posts and if it hasn't sold in a week then tough . You can now also add a poll to a post for up to 60 minutes.

If thread titles are changed in a mischievous way or to mislead, the setting will revert to 5 minutes.

Incredible how many parameters one can set with this software.
With my inner eye I see Eddie sitting in front of an huge computer battery, controlling all these settings.

Thanks Eddie but it doesn't help me as my post is just over a week old so I can't change it now, I wanted to put a lower price in the thread title.

Unfortunate, you should have priced it more realistically in the first place .

Aye, that'll be why it's not sold then.

    Hi Andy

Sounds like it's time to relist it then....

Just bumped a Sales post because all items sold, although the thread title still shows 'OHPF'. Can we extend the time limit to editing titles to say 2 weeks instead of 1?
