The Spaniards seem to actually enjoy football, something to be appreciated.

Btw, I was happy when they sent CR home in the semifinals

I wish it was Germany Spain. Italy are just going to dive and face-clutch now they're down to 10 'men'.

Ha, just as I write that there's an Italian player on the floor in the penalty area clutching his face!

    That was some performance!

I was surprised when it said possession was 50/50 - didn't seem like it.

After sucking the life out of games recently, tonight they breathed that life back in. They were brilliant and in a different world from Italy.

Great match. We watched the match here in Germany, really good atmosphere and most of the Germans were rooting for Spain.

I was watching the game on the village square in the andalucian heartland.
After the firts bit, untill they scrored that is. After that it became a bit hectic.
The mayor was punching me in the gut and I was hooting him in the ear with a vuvuzela, while my son was off running around the square with a band of kids painted in war coulours.
After the game there was fireworks all over the place and I had to drive around the town with the ragtop down, gf waving a flag, sun hooting the vuvuzela.
The whole town was on the streets waving flags cheering the cars too keep the hand on the horn.

They won with a wellcome change in the game. Taking some risc playing fórward for a change.
Balotini was playing cry baby but the Italians did deserve to have scored two goals though.

Not if you happen to be a very overpaid English footballer hahah, BTW enjoy the celebrations, Spain were the best by miles.

Even if England played 100% we would not have had a chance against them, so I feel better about our campaign now.

if results make you great no argument.

but for me they are no where near any of the great teams of the past.
no excitment nor anticipation compared to watching other great teams.

How can you win 4-0 and have your performance described as lacking excitement? :?

Here in Catalunya, for a short period, the country became 'one' and it was an amazing atmosphere in town, despite us enjoying the evening in an Italian restaurant.... where even the owner (with his entire family 3 generations present) after the first half, started cheering when Spain scored - and admitted Spain was without doubt the better team. (I did in fact predict early in the evening, if the Italians realised they were losing, they'd swap sides)
Not one single drunk person to be see anywhere - magical - we have much to learn in the UK !!!!
