Many of you have probably already seen this, I only noticed it for the first time yesterday so apogies if someone has already posted a thread on this..... As a huge fan of the outgoing Blackbird this is a huge thumbs down for me, they have even done away with the excellent luminosity this model was so renowned for, oh dear. :shock:

Its always going to be subjective, bit I love the red accents on the dial without going too 'Red Strike' on us.
Can't make up my mind on the bezel. I prefer the font as a whole, but not so sure on the shape of the rider tabs.
Is the case a different shape? Looks wider and flatter than the previous model

Several years ago, I was interested in a large Breitling Chrono, and loved the look of the Blackbird - but what I couldn't understand was............ that the watch that was named after the Titanium Mach 3 surveilance aeroplane................... was made of Stainless Steel :?
I decided that it was too heavy a watch for me - so went for a Titanium Chrono-Avenger instead.
I always thought Breitling made an error with the Blackbird.
They're still nice watches, though :thumbright:

I find it a real shame that Breitling are slowly deleting Ti watches from their line up. The quality and robustness of their grade of titanium is second to none IMO.
A Ti Blackbird would have been absolute perfection for me 8)
Absolutely - Titanium makes real sense in watchmaking from a weight and durability aspect - and aesthetically ......... streets ahead of Stainless Steel.

Putting some red on the dial seems to be the new fad, IWC did it too.
The Titanium Chrono Avenger has always been my second favourite Breitling, a classic which should never have been discontinued, interesting to read about the suggestions for a Ti Blackbird, excellent idea.... they've done everything else with it! 8)
I feel Breitling is cotinuing to ruin their watches. Don't like their new Chronomat or Blackbird :(
