i used to have a combat sub which ran at about a second a day, fit and finish was excellent too.
I got the Jazzmaster quite a few days ago now from Dan off here and I am very impressed with the accuracy I am seeing, I set it with Time.is within 1 hr of getting it and have just checked it.
- 2 seconds  and I have had it 4 days, this is the most accurate auto I know, I am wearing it 24/7 so its being wound all the time, even in my sleep so its constantly moving
Is this the normal for a watch worn all the time.

Yes, same here. The Khaki King auto that is my daily wearer runs at +2/3 seconds a day.
I see Hamilton have reintroduced the 37mm Jazzmaster and I've been sorely tempted for a long time.
I have a Hamilton Khaki Field that still runs at +/-1s day (providing it's left overnight dial up or 3-up) after three years of more or less continual use! Last actual time setting was the changeover to BST.

that is good.
i bought my first hamilton a couple of weeks ago, an officer auto chrono, it is a great watch.
My Tag Carrera runs at -1sec per day which I find astounding for a non cosc watch. The best thing I have discovered is I can regulate the watch by changing the position it is left in overnight. 6 nights a week it lies flat on its back and then for the 7th night I leave it crown side up and it gains back the 6 seconds that it lost over the last 6 days. I have not had to reset the time now for 2 weeks and counting :D
I thought this thread needs a picture - done!

turns out i like mine so much, i acidentaly went a bought another whilst doing a bit of reseach at a jewellers!
And the GMT II on its new mesh :D
Thats awesome. Hamilton CS seems to be really good too, my friend sent his watch to Hamilton, £120 for a full service, and it comes in a nice Hamilton case, the old parts are also provided, very quick return as well!
Loving the Hamilton, and as the OP says, on the button with timekeeping!
I'm glad to hear of the positive reviews. I've been hunting high & low for my new watch, and Hamilton seem to have a nice range that are (nearly) in budget.
Do they hold their value well? I could see myself upgrading in a few years and wouldn't want to take too much of a hit.
They are good value for money I have 3 a open heart, khaki auto chromo and a Gmt all are comfortable, look good, keep good time and look nice
Jimbob what model is that, it's nice
Hamilton was my first 'real' watch. Impressed with the quality. Although I must say I like the older models more than the newer models.
Hamilton has made some nice watches.
I quite like the look, but the Jazzmaster is ruined for me.
Not because its not a nice looking watch, but because I havent been able to quite regard the watch in the same manner after some forum wit made a rather uncouth remark about the name of the watch.
Just one letter was exchanged, but that was enough, thank you
Agreed. Been jones'in for a PanEurope 1974.
I'm quite tempted to get one of these, anyone here have one?
Used to wear a Khaki X-Wind Navy regata as daily beater for more than a year in the past and I was very happy with it.
Can I echo the question to jimboy? What model is that and how big is it, please? Looks great and a better size than many Hamiltons, which i find are often a little too small...

i bought myself a hamilton to celebrate leaving my old job which was 8 years of nuisance.
i went for a 38mm intramatic as the vintage look and simplicity of no seconds really appealed to me.
im glad i did as its a really well made watch and the dial is not something that im ever likely to get bored of inspecting.
It's called a seaview, review below from WUS:

Very happy with my Hamilton as well. Khaki x-wind. Nice big piece of work

Hmm, I appear to have more Hamilton's than I anticipated, thanks to the OP for helping me to realise this :)
So, my first was this puppy - 7750 based and quite lovely
Then I saw the Team Earth, and had to have one!
And whilst looking at that, I realised that I had another Hamilton box on the shelf ofmuch watch loveliness... Opened it up and found these two bad boys!
Well, I never did... (although I clearly did at some point, just don't remember doing it!)
I got a Ventura a couple of years ago. Haven't really worn it but it's a lovely/different looking dress watch. I first saw it when it was worn by Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in Men in Black. Have to take a few pics and post them.
I first saw them a few months before they hit the shops - I was working in Bath and spoke with a Hamilton rep in a jewellers who was showing the new line-up. It took a while, but one popped up on SC and I was lucky to secure it, although Harrison's autograph on the back was a little disconcerting :)
Those engraved cases are something else again - not my taste (I'm a simple man...) but I appreciate the workmanship - I've seen their work a few times (although never on this case) and always been impressed
that chronograph is gorgeous richard.
somewhat less gorgeous, of course is that you have watches like that stashed away forgotten in boxes. shame on you, shame.
I like Hamiltons, nice watches and good value for money.

I never should have let this 'Jazzmaster' go ...
Recently acquired this 'Mount Vernon' auto ...
I had a Khaki Field Auto which I now regret flipping, even though I found it a little to flat. The Everest replaced it, which is on my wrist at the mo.
As has been said, it’s a Seaview 1000ft H37715135. 46mm ! It came on a ss bracelet which is great for formal wear, but a lump for every day, hence the rubber and leather. I have another leather on the way which I hope will look as good as the rubber?? http://www.watch-band-center.com/wat...-Bros-All.html
I got the rubber from :-
