I am considering the following 2 watches for similar money, both do different things and offer different experiences but both appeal to me at a similar budget. I am interested in which you would prefer and why and in particular keen to hear owners views on both models.

I had an IWC5001 a while back and i regret selling it, the JLC is a great looking watch though nice predicament to be in Jacob :D
I prefer the IWC (I have one) but I do like the look of the JLC too.
As you say, they do very different things...
I would go for the JLC, they are they are the best at making complicated watches that do not look messy.
Hmm you're not making this easy for me.
I love the complications and dialwork of the Amvox, the JLC has been on my hit list ever since FHKJ sold his on here 4 years ago!

I like the sporty and luxury look of JLC, so my vote goes to Amvox
From these 3 models i would go for the IWC, however i've seen a lot nicer JLC Amvox as the dial on the two you're considering are a bit too busy for my tastes.

Sat here a while admiring them both and just can't pick between them. They are so different in terms of dial. I want to say IWC but think if i was pushed i would end up with the JLC.
This may not be helpful, but for purely for the aesthetics I would choose the IWC. The two JLCs look a bit messy to me. I tried on the 7-day IWC Portuguese a couple of weeks ago and it was refined, elegant and classy.
Of the watches pictured I would go with the IWC. Only because the others look a bit well, half finished.
The JLC Amvox Titanium or Memovox Polaris Tribute on the other hand...

OP: Blowers appear to have your "first choice" JLC DBS you pictured on their site.
IWC all day long as I dislike the AM logo in the JLC.
Are they similar budget new? I think the IWC is about two third the price of an Amvox2? But of you are talking about used, may be they are closer in price. All three are fantastic watches, but I would go for the JLC as well given the choice.
I'm normally a JLC man, but try as I might, I just can't bring myself to like any of the Amvox range.
And although the IWC is too dressy for me, on looks alone its a clear winner in my book.
For me definitely the IWC, especially because that one in particular does not chop the numbers - they are either there or not.
The JLC really doesn't work for me and I would find it hard to see what the time was.
AMVOX every time, no contest!!

Really tough choice which one to go for. I would go for the JLC with callendar funcitons, but each of these is a winner :)
Btw..I would avoid buying amvox with the Aston logo etc.
That JLC looks nasty tbh I'd be going for the classier more dressy IWC.
IWC for me. Like the Amvox and had a play with the interesting chronograph trigger. I just feel it is a novelty! :)
For classic look it's the IWC.
For avant garde look it's the JLC.
Amovx2 is vertical trigger which is a unique feature not found in other watches.
so my vote goes to Amvox2.
