A Heuer for the Dutch fans..

I sold my orange quartz Heuer a while back, I fell out of love with the orange dial. A year or so later and I was hankering after another and regretted selling it.. I was lucky enough to grab this even rarer Auto version. It was a bit FUBAR'd when I got it. I raided my spare parts bin & found all the relevant bits, including a near mint bezel. James (dreamboat10) sorted it all out for me, and it has scrubbed up beautifully...

The orange is indeed a rare sight in auto form, i dont recall seeing too many nice one's over the years.

Cheers bud, and your spray painting of the hands is a superb job. The scratches on the dial aren't noticeable when wearing it. In fact, it's hard to see them in the photos.

Its an original Heuer diver oyster, although I think the endlinks may be replacements, I'm unsure, as I've never handled another - these original bracelets are like rocking horse sh*t sprinkled with hens teeth.

Yeah, that makes sense. Bear in mind these 42mm cases have 20mm lugs, just in case it affects your plans!

I was very lucky to bag the 2 of those. I decided my passion was for the Heuers & not the PAM in the end.
Just need to find a link for the bracelet as its a touch too small. At the mo i have turned a Jubilee link upside down which fits & looks the part to the untrained eye as its near the clasp.
Its off to James tomorrow for the new crystal :D

I saw the links on the other thread.. Did you see the link to a bracelet on eBay? I guess you could easily have one made by a jeweller/craftsman/metalworker?? I presume it would be straight forward as it's a flat sided design?

That's one amazing looking diver,always loved the orange dial versions.
I never managed to find an auto,and settled for the quartz .007... which I sadly had to sacrifice on the SD altar two yrs ago.. :cry:

And with the original oyster bracelet as well :shock: just,wow... Congratulations :)

Thanks for the compliments. I had a quartz version, but sold it on. I 'went off' the orange dial, in fact, the orange on the quartz was more terracotta-ish, maybe that was the reason. It's not uncommon for Heuer divers from this period to have different dial suppliers - I've seen the regular divers have deep grey through to black variations. This one is more orangey, and I prefer that.
